«Visiting London
в 5 классе

Цели:
расширение знаний, умений , навыков в овладении иноязычной
коммуникативной деятельностью;
воспитание у учащихся культуры общения, умения работать в группах;
стимулирование интереса учащихся к изучению английского языка.
Задачи:
совершенствоть коммуникативные навыки;
систематизировать знания учащихся по теме «Visiting London”;
развивать творческие способности учащихся.
Оборудование:
проектор, компьютер;
презентация;
карточки с заданиями;
УМК «Enjoy English 5-6”.
Ход урока.
1. Оргмомент.
Good morning, my dear children! How are you? Fine! Glad to see you and our
guests today. Let's begin our lesson. The topic we are going to discuss is “Visiting
London”. You've already known some facts about the capital of Great Britain.
Today we will not only study, but also practice speaking, making up dialogues,
reading and playing. Let's not loose the time and begin right now!

There are many interesting places in London. Match the words in two columns and
have the names of the sights.

а) Работа с презентацией.
I'll show you the photos of sights in London and you're to name them.
б) Сообщение интересных фактов о достопримечательностях Лондона.
в) Сообщение интереных фактов о Tower Bridge. Учащиеся пытаются
угадать, о чем речь.
The river Thames flows through London and there are 17 bridges over the
Thames. It is the gateway to London from the sea. It is the most famous but not the
oldest bridge in London. It was built in 1894 not far from the Tower of London.
This bridge quickly became the symbol of London.
г) Составление высказываний о том, почему я хочу посетить Лондон.

-Great! When did you go there?
-We went there last month. We stayed in the capital of Great Britain for four days.
-What places of interest did you visit?
-We visited Hyde Park, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace.
-You are lucky.
-Come to my place one day. I will show you the pictures of London.
-OK. Let’s meet tomorrow.
-Good-bye, Polina.
-Good-bye, Roma.
2) –Hello, Natasha!
-Hello, Nastya! How are you?
-I’m fine, thank you.
-I have been to London with my brother.
-Great! When did you go there?
-We went there last weak. We stayed in the capital of Great Britain for two days.
-What places of interest did you visit?
-We visited Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey. But I liked
Trafalgar Square.
-Trafalgar Square? What is it?
-It is the most beautiful place in London.
-Are you lucky?
-Yes, I am. I will show you the pictures of London.
-Good-bye, Natasha.
-Good-bye, Nastya.
3)- Excuse me, could you tell me how to get to Trafalgar Square?
Oh, it's very easy. Can you see that wide street over there?
Yes, I can.
Good. Go along that street and it will lead you to Trafalgar square.

Dear Alice,
Hi! I'm on holiday in London. I (stay) with my friend, Liza. She (live) in the centre
of London. I (visit) the Tower of London, the British Museum, and the National
Gallery two days ago. I (go) to Madam Tussaud's on Monday. Yesterday Liza and I
(go shopping). I (want) to buy some souvenirs. If the weather (be) fine tomorrow, I
(go) on a boat trip. I (like) London very much. You (must) visit it some day. I (be)
back in a week, so I (call) you then.
