Открытый урок английского языка по теме «A Trip to London»

Цели урока:
повторение, обобщение и систематизация учебного материала
страноведческого характера о Лондоне (активизация имеющихся у
учащихся знаний, полученных на уроках английского языка);
стимулирование и мотивация интереса учащихся к изучению английского
языка и культуры Великобритании;
формирование коммуникативной компетентности у учащихся.
Задачи урока
Образовательные:
активизировать словарный запас учащихся по теме
«Достопримечательности Лондона»;
научить учащихся задавать вопросы и отвечать на них;
тренировать учащихся строить правильные английские предложения.
Развивающие:
развивать логическое мышление, творческую мыслительную
деятельность, наблюдательность, кругозор, память учащихся;
устанавливать межпредметную связь английского языка, музыки и
изобразительного искусства.
Воспитательные:
воспитывать у учащихся стремление к изучению английского языка;
воспитывать уважение к культуре и традициям других народов.
Оборудование:
видео «Лондон»;
презентация PowerPoint «Faces of London»;
раздаточный материал;
иллюстрации с видами достопримечательностей Лондона;
аудиозапись песни «Yesterday».
Ход урока
1. Орг. момент. Формулирование темы урока.
- Good morning dear boys and girls, our guests and teachers! I am glad to meet you
at our lesson! Sit down, please!
Today we’ll have an unusual lesson. Now please, look at the blackboard!
(Урок начинается с фрагмента видеофильма, который виртуально
переносит учащихся в столицу Великобритании и настраивает на работу).
- OK, we`ve seen a short video. So, can you say what we will speak about?
What will be the topic of our today`s lesson?
(Учащиеся сами определяют тему урока).
Thank you! You are right! The topic of our lesson is “London”.
2. Речевая разминка.
When somebody says “London” what famous things first come to your mind?
(Учащиеся называют слова на английском языке, которые ассоциируются у
них с темой «Лондон»).
e.g. Big Ben, tea, the Queen, Buckingham Palace, a red bus, London Zoo, Tower
Bridge…
OK, thank you, it was a good job! You know a lot words! Lets continue our
lesson.
3. Актуализация знаний по теме.
- Have you ever been to London? Would you like to go there? Would you like to
know more about the capital of the UK? So, I offer you to visit London. Let’s
begin our trip.
Look at the pictures of the places of interest in London and repeat after me.
(Показ слайдов о достопримечательностях Лондона).
4. Активизация навыков устной речи.
Dear children! We’ve seen the pictures of the places of interest in London. I know
that some pupils want to tell us about some of them. Let s listen to them.
(Дети рассказывают о достопримечательностях Лондона).
5. Актуализация лексических навыков.
Now, children, imagine that you are going to visit London. What places of interest
do you want to visit and why? Make up correct sentences. This table will help you.
(Учащиеся составляют по таблице предложения по теме).
e.g. I want to see Westminster Abbey because it is a famous place.
6. Активизация навыков чтения.
Now let’s read the text about London. Your task is to find as many places of
interest in London as possible. Also, be ready to answer my questions.
(Дети читают текст о Лондоне и находят в нем достопримечательности
этого города).
Places of Interest in London
There are a lot of places of interest in London. They are: Westminster Abbey, the
Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral, London
Bridge, the Tower of London and so on.
London stands on the river Thames. Crossing the river by the Tower Bridge you
can see the Tower of London. It is one of the oldest buildings of the city. Many years ago
it was a fortress, a royal palace and then a prison. Now it is a museum.
On the bank of the Thames you can see the Houses of Parliament. In one of its
towers there is famous Big Ben, the largest clock of England.
Buckingham Palace is the Queen’s official London residence. London has many
fine squares. Trafalgar Square is the central square of the city. To the right of it there is
the National Gallery which has a fine collection of European paintings.
St. Paul’s Cathedral is the biggest English church. Another famous church is
Westminster Abbey where kings, queens, and many famous people are buried.
London is also famous for its beautiful parks. Hyde Park is the most democratic park in
the world. Regent’s Park is the home of London Zoo.

7. Релаксация.
You’ve worked well. Now let’s have a short rest. You will hear a beautiful music.
So, imagine that you are in the park or on the bank of the sea. Try to relax and
think about something pleasant.

8. Актуализация навыков диалогической речи.
Now I want you to make a dialogue. Please, work in pairs. On the blackboard there
is an example for you.
(Дети составляют диалоги по теме).
