II. Доведение плана урока. Тема нашего урока «Сап a Man be Tired of
London?» Сегодня на уроке мы повторим слова по теме
«Достопримечательности Лондона», будем составлять диалоги и рассказывать о
достопримечательностях Лондона. А также попробуем найти связь нашего
урока с другими учебными предметами.

Very well. Now say what sights of London you know. Let’s divide into groups
and see who knows more. You will be the first group and you the second.

Загадки.
Teacher: Well, I am glad that you know so much about the places of interest in
London. And I’d like to continue our lesson with the task "Discovering Places". I'll
give you some short descriptions of famous places, you should read them and find
these sights on the board.
(Работа в малых группах — по 2 человека.)
So, let's read the first description. Please, take turns in reading. (Каждая группа
по очереди читает описание места, называет его и показывает всем
фотографию.)
Descriptions
l.It's a clock in the tower and it's a big bell. You can hear it every hour. (Big Ben.)
2. You can see it from the river Thames. It is not just one building. It has several
towers, for example, the White Tower and the Bloody Tower. (The Tower of London.)
3.1t is a symbol of England. The coronation of all British Kings and Queens took
place there. Some famous people are also buried there. (Westminster Abbey.)
4.1t is a place where the British Government sits. It is situated not far from
Westminster Abbey. (The Houses of Parliament.)
5.It is a famous bridge across the Thames. (Tower Bridge.)
6. It is the central square of London and it is famous all over the world.
(Tmfalgar Square.)
7. It is a palace where the Queen lives when she is in London. (Buckingham
Palace.)
8. Here you can see the statue of the famous fairytale hero Peter Pan

Well, London is famous all over the world. It is not only the capital of Great Britain
but also it’s a city which is visited by thousands of tourists. Now work in pairs. Invite
your partner to see some of London sights. Use these words:

one of London sights. You may choose any group you like.
