Конспект урока английского языка в 9 классе по теме: «Популярные современные
профессии»Тип урока: Комбинированный урок
Образовательные цели:
– активизировать употребление в речи учащихся лексику по теме “Выбор профессии” через разные
виды речевой деятельности: чтение, говорение, письмо;
– познакомить учащихся с новой лексикой по теме “Личностные качества” и с новыми
современными профессиями, способствовать употреблению их в речи учащихся.
Развивающие цели:
– развивать у учащихся умение анализировать свои личностные качества, применительно к данной
профессии;
– способствовать развитию умения определять профессиональные качества личности.
Воспитательная цель:
– способствовать воспитанию понимания у учащихся важности и необходимости реализации своих
умений и способностей через выбранную профессию.
Оборудование: раздаточный материал,учебник
1. Организационный момент.
Good morning, pupils. I am glad to see you. Who is absent today? What’s the date today? What day
of the week is it today? What’s the weather like today? Thank you.It’s very difficult to choose your
future profession. You are in the 9th form and you should decide what to do after finishing the 9th
form: to leave school or to continue education at school in the 10
th
form. And we’ll try to help you
choose one of the professions.
2. Аудирование диалогов.

task is on your cards. Read it. Listen to the dialogue and fill in the table.Cathy, Jessica and
Brian left school 10 years ago. Now they’ve come to their school reunion party. Listen to the
conversation and answer the questions:
1. What did they want to be when they were children?
2. What jobs do they have now?

3. Повторение лексики по теме: «Профессии»
Now let’s revise the names of the professions you know. Look at the slide show and write them on the
board.
(Нарисовать на доске) или картинки с профессиями
A clothes designer, a lawyer, a veterinarian, a journalist, an architect, a mechanic, a scientist, a
surgeon, a teacher, a message boy, a waiter, a street cleaner and a driver.(Дети вписывают слова в
схему на доске, обращая внимание на произношение слов и употребление неопределённого артикля)
4. Активизация лексики по теме: «Личностные качества»
Let’s add the personal qualities to these professions. Read the task to ex.6 on page 155. Write 2 or 3 of
them on the board near every profession.(ученики добавляют по 1-2 качеств к каждой профессии на
доске, высказываясь по образцу)
For example, a babysitter must be kind and tolerant.
5. Работа в группах
Every profession has its pluses and minuses. You are to divide into groups and choose the profession
you like more. Discuss it and say it to us.(ученики делятся на небольшие группы и после обсуждения
называют 1 профессию от группы)
You must find something positive in your job and negative in other groups’ professions. I give you 5
minutes to get ready. Don’t forget to use the phrases from ex.7 on page 155.(5 минут)
Ok, let’s listen to group 1, 2, 3...What is positive in your job? Now what is negative in this job?
Ученики из 1 группы приводят аргументы в защиту своей профессии. Ученики другой группы
приводят свои аргументы против этой профессии. Они должны использовать разговорные клише из
упражнения.
Having listened to all arguments, tell me, please, what profession would you choose and why...
6. Введение новой лексики
We’ve discussed the professions you know very well. Let’s get to know some modern and popular
professions. Look at the screen and match 2 columns to make up the right sentences. Read and
translate them.

Now we’ve got some time left. Let’s play a bit. Working in groups, make up words out of the letters of
the word “profession”.
