Цели мероприятия: 1.Обучающая: Познакомить учащихся с традициями Америки
на примере празднования Дня Благодарения (последний четверг ноября);
заинтересовать уч-ся в изучении английского языка, как средства для знакомства с
традициями англоязычных стран.
2.Развивающая: развивать навыки самостоятельного поиска и
подбора информации; совершенствовать навыки аудирования;
активизировать у уч-ся творческие способности при подготовке и проведении
праздника.
3.Воспитательная: расширять кругозор о стране изучаемого
языка, воспитывать уважение к иноязычной культуре; воспитывать толерантное
отношение друг к другу.

Ход мероприятия
1. Вступительная часть ( Приветствие учителя)
-Good day, boys and girls and our guests! Today we will learn about a very nice tradition of
American people. People in every country have celebrations in autumn. The history of this
holiday is very old. It began four hundred years ago. Let’s remember America of 1620
2. Воспроизведение страноведческого материала по теме: "История Дня
Благодарения".
Сообщения учащихся на английском языке сопровождается показом слайдов и
переводом на русский язык

1. We would like to tell you the story of this kind holiday Thanksgiving Day.

2. Thanksgiving Day is on the fourth Thursday in November.
День Благодарения - национальный американский праздник, который отмечают в 4-
ый четверг ноября
3. Thanksgiving started over 380 years ago with Pilgrims. The Pilgrims who sailed to America
were members of the English Church. They wanted to escape religious persecution
Отмечать День благодарения начали более 380 лет пилигримы. Пилигримами
называли себе люди, отделившиеся от английской церкви и бежавшие от её
преследования.
4. In the hope of a better life, they decided to move out to America. They sailed to a new
continent on board the ship "Mayflower".
В надежде найти лучшую жизнь, они решили отправиться в Америку. Пилигримы
отправились на новый континент на корабле "Майский цветок".
5. The Pilgrims reached Plymouth in 1620. The winter was very terrible. Many of them died.
But the harvest of the next year was very good. And they decided to make a party.
Пилигримы высадились на новой для них земле в том месте, где сейчас расположен
город Плимут осенью 1620 года. Им пришлось пережить ужасную зиму. Многие
умерли от голода. Но урожай следующего года был очень хорошим. Собрав его,
пилигримы решили устроить праздничный обед
6. They also invited Indians who had helped the Pilgrims survive their first year. The Indians
taught the Pilgrims to plant corn. The feast lasted three days. Wild turkey and corn were
part of their feast.
На праздничный обед они пригласили также индейцев, которые помогли пилигримам
пережить первую зиму. Индейцы научили переселенцев выращивать кукурузу.

7. Now Thanksgiving is a national holiday. People are with their families and friends to give
thanks for the good things in their lives. The families come together for a special dinner.
Сейчас день Благодарения является национальным праздником в Америке. Семьи
собираются вместе на праздничный обед, чтобы воздать благодарность за всё то
хорошее, что они имеют.

Учитель: It was the history of this holiday. And now we’ll learn more about the traditions,
dishes and symbols of this holiday
Инсценировка «Индейцы и пилигримы»
Под музыку "Over the river” входят ученики, одетые в костюмы индейцев. Вождь
приветствует гостей:
Ladies and gentlemen! I am an Indian and these are my people. We are glad to welcome
you at this place today.
(Приветственные жесты индейцев.)
Звучит музыка. Входят ученики в костюмах пилигримов. Приветствуют гостей.
We are Pilgrims. We are from the Old World. We are from New England. We sailed to
America on the ship “Mayflower”. We are glad to welcome you.
Участники танцуют под музыку "Over the river”.
(Участники праздника рассаживаются.)
Учитель: Dear Indians and Pilgrims! Do you know why we are here today? What holiday
are we going to celebrate? (Ответы детей).
Today we have Thanksgiving Day. Let’s travel by ship and learn more about this holiday.

Рог изобилия, наполненный овощами и фруктами - обычный символ праздника
урожая.

2 ребенок: Cranberry is a symbol of thanksgiving. Pilgrims found out a way to sweeten the
bitten cranberries with maple sugar. Since that time cranberry sauce is a permanent
companion of turkey during thanksgiving feast.

благодарность и опускают в рог.
В конце мероприятия дети благодарят гостей за то, что они пришли (we are thankful
for your visit) и дарят им сувениры праздника
