Обучающимся предлагается ответить на вопросы, которые помогут сформулировать
тему занятия:
-Look at the picture. How many apples can you see? (5 apples)

Today we are going to speak about Countable and uncountable nouns.
We’ll learn new words and phrases connected with your future profession. Обучающиеся
отвечают на вопросы преподавателя, помогают сформулировать тему урока:
«Countable and uncountable nouns», объясняют, в чем между ними разница.
Countable and uncountable nouns переводятся как исчисляемые и неисчисляемые
существительные. Давайте разберемся, чем они отличаются друг от друга.
Исчисляемые существительные можно посчитать в штуках. Например: books, tables,
houses, rooms, carrots.
Неисчисляемые существительные нельзя посчитать штучно. Их можно разбить на
три группы:
1) материалы и вещества — соответственно: сыпучие, жидкие и газоoбразные:
water, gas, oxygen
2) абстрактные понятия: advice, courage, news
3) названия наук, дисциплин: physics, mathematics

Обучающимся предлагается разделить существительные из упражнения 1 на две
группы: исчисляемые и неисчисляемые.

There are many types of shops: we can buy absolutely everything in department stores. In
some shops there are no sales assistants, only cashiers. The customers choose the goods and
pay at a cash register.
Yesterday, my mother gave me a large list of products to buy. I went to the store.
I bought sugar, tea, coffee, salt, pepper, ham, bacon. Then I went to the baker’s and bought
bread. I found meat at the butcher’s. I went to the market for vegetables and fruit.
At the shops the sales assistants stood behind the counter. I asked them: “How much is
this?” and they told me the price. Then I gave them the money and they gave me the
