Внеклассное мероприятие для 6 классов.
Тема:”Holidays. Festivals.”
Цели урока: Провести практику речевой деятельности, развивать навыки чтения, активизировать
лексику по теме. Повысить мотивацию учащихся к изучению английского языка. Воспитывать у
обучающихся чувство уважения к истории и культуре изучаемого языка, активизировать
коммуникативныенавыкиучащихся.
Задачи урока:
Познавательные УУД
Создать условия для развития умения осуществлять поиск информации в тексте.
Развивать умение выделять главную информацию в тексте.
Формировать умение анализировать, синтезировать и сравнивать информацию.
Регулятивные УУД
Формировать умение постановки цели работы на уроке.
Формировать умение оценивать свою работу на уроке на разных этапах.

Формировать умение строить устное высказывание в соответствие с коммуникативной задачей.

мультимедийное оборудование, презентация, раздаточный материал.
Ход урока.
I. Организационный момент.
Приветствие учителя. Определение настроя и готовности к работе.
- Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you. How are you? I hope you are fine. Are you ready
to start?
The theme of our lesson is “Holidays and Festivals in Britain”.
II. Речевая разминка.
Наш маршрут будет проходить через Великобританию. Сегодня каждая команда
побывает на разных мероприятиях. А вот на каких, вам и предстоит узнать.
Let’sdivideinto 3 groups. Ok. Now, it’s time to introduce your team. (The first station)
(Настала пора представить наши команды)
Путешествие за границу немыслимо без умения четко и красиво произносить английские
слова и без знания обычаев и традиций(каждой команде раздается материал, в котором нужно
соединить начала и конец предложений, так чтобы они соответствовали действительности).

1 team: Christmas: religious holiday, celebrate, was born, Jesus Christ, decorate, Father
Christmas, presents, Merry Christmas.
2 team: Easter: important religious festival, go to church, in March or April, means spring and
new life, symbols.
3 team: St. Valentine’s Day: old tradition, send Valentines, those they love, give presents,
symbol of love.

Saints holidays: 10 What or Who were people afraid to meet on Halloween? (witches, ghosts)
20 Name the symbol of Halloween? (a pumpkin)
30 The symbol of this holiday is a red rose. (St. Valentine’s Day)
40 Children usually speak these words on Halloween night. (Trick or treat)
Spring holidays: 10 Where do people go at Easter? (to church)
20 Name the main Easter symbols? (chocolate eggs, lamb, Easter Bunny)
30 A traditional game at Easter. (Easter Egg Roll)

1 team: Christmas:
Christmas Day is celebrated on December 25. People of different countries celebrate Christmas
in various ways. Christmas is a time for eating. The traditional food is turkey, Christmas cake, Christmas
pudding made of fruit. Candles at Christmas also go back to those times. People believed then that their
light helped them to forget the darkness of winter. Now Christmas Tree stands in everybody’s living
room at Christmas.

2 team: Easter:
Easter is a Christian holiday. It is celebrated in April. Easter is a happy holiday
and I like it very much. This holiday is devoted to Jesus Christ and his returning to life.
In
the morning people go to church.
British children know what presents they will get on Easter
Sunday. Their parents, grandparents, sisters and brothers give them chocolate eggs. It's
a tradition. Sometimes children don't eat their Easter presents but roll them downhill. It
is a tradition too. They use not only chocolate but also real eggs and even oranges in this
unusual race.
The Egg Roll is a race in which children push an egg through the grass with a kind
of long spoon. The race takes place near the White House every Easter Monday.
3 team: St. Valentine’s Day:
St.Valentine's Day is the day of sweethearts. On this day, people show their friends relatives and
loved ones that they care. People send candy or flowers to those whom they love. Most people send
«valentines», greeting cards named after St.Valentine's letters written from jail. Valentines can be
sentimental and romantic, or funny and friendly. Valentines can be anonymous. Valentines can be heart-
shaped or can carry hearts on them. People buy valentines or make them themselves.
