- We shall have a talk about the role of computers in the life of
people.

Учитель в быстром темпе задает вопросы и побуждает детей
отвечать на них.
- Hello, Anton. Nice to see you. How are you? (I am fine, thank
you. How are you?)
- I am fine, too. And what about you, Vova? How are you? (Iam
fine, thank you.)
- I am glad to hear that. The weather is nice today, isn't it? (Oh,
yes. I agree with you. It is rather warm.)
- Kate, I'd like to ask you a question. (You are welcome. What
would you like to ask me about?)
- Do you have a telephone? (Yes, I do.)
- Do you like talking on the phone? Why? (I like talking on the
phone because it helps me to relax.)
- Mike, with whom do you usually talk on the phone? (I usually
talk with my friends on the phone.)
- What do you talk with your friends about on the phone? (We
talk about sports news on the phone.)
- Nick, do you like talking on the phone? (No, I don't. If I talk on
the phone I have no time to do my homework and help my parents.)
- Nina, do you agree that talking on the phone is a waste of
time? (I agree with this statement. Besides, when you talk on the
phone you can't see the eyes of the person you are speaking to.)
- Alex, is it important for you to see the eyes of the person you
are speaking to? Can we receive useful information talking on
the phone? Etc.
- Well done. Thank you very much.
III. Фонетическая разминка
- It's time to look at the blackboard. Let's read the words in the
first (second) column. Read the words loudly and in a whis-
per. Work in pairs and listen to each other. Make up the word
combinations using these words.
Учитель обращает внимание учащихся на карточки со словами,
заранее развешанные на доске. Ученики читают слова громко
и шепотом, в парах и по одному, а затем составляют словосочетания
из данных слов, выставляя их на наборное полотно.
В конце данного этапа урока учитель предлагает учащимся устно
выполнить упр. 82, стр. 26 из учебника.
Слова на карточках:
fax /system / phone /information/ electronic /message/ to receive/ letters
to send /the Internet / printed/ call /to use/ games/ computer /messages
Примерные словосочетания: fax message, phone call, electronic
system, to receive information, to send messages, printed letters, to
use the Internet, etc.
IV. Активизация навыков чтения
Учитель организует выполнение упр. 83, стр. 26 из учебника.
Учащиеся читают информацию про себя и соотносят слова и их
определения в течение 2-3 минут. Затем ученики по цепочке
зачитывают вслух определения (один ученик - одно определение)
и называют слова. Остальные ученики выражают свое согласие
или несогласие с вариантами ответов.
