Внеклассное мероприятие
“Окно в Европу»
Цели:
• Обобщение страноведческих знаний и расширение кругозора учащихся.
• Стимулирование познавательного интереса учащихся к изучению английского
языка с использованием Интернет-ресурсов.
• Формирование навыков проектной деятельности и умения работать в коллективе.
• Воспитание ответственности и самостоятельности.
Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, экран.
С целью проведения ежегодного мероприятия «День европейских языков» был предложен
проект «Окно в Европу». Проект рассчитан на 3-4 недели и включает в себя следующие
основные этапы проектной деятельности:
Организационный:
• Объявление темы проекта
• Распределение по группам
• Распределение ролей в группе
• Выбор направления проекта
• Составление плана реализации проекта: пошаговое планирование работы

• Сбор и изучение новой информации
• Подбор иллюстраций

• Поиск недостающей информации

• Оформление презентации
• Подготовка публичного выступления (речь)

Выполнение проекта ведется в тесном контакте с преподавателями и под их
руководством. На этапе предъявления презентаций организуется круглый стол.

Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to our final session on the project “Window on
Europe”, dedicated to the European day of languages. Do you remember this day?
The project lasted 4 weeks and involved 20 nakhimovites who are ready to present
their reports.

"Window on Europe"
• Introduction
Nakhimovites will have to make a research about major European cities Rome, Paris, Barcelona
and Berlin. Through that they will be able to learn the culture, history and traditions of these
cities. Nakhimovites will be given the opportunity to improve their language and learning skills.
• Tasks
In the following assignment, you will be asked to split into four groups. Each group will be
assigned a destination city. Each group will have to make a research on
• the history of the city and background information
• sightseeings and places we have to visit and why
• sports and famous athletes
• music and entertainment
Keep in mind that your report should contain facts and photos according to your theme. It should
be interesting and informative. Time limit - 8 minutes. Project criteria
Once the research is complete you will prepare a presentation to be presented during the annual
event "The day of European languages".
• Process
Step 1: You will be separated into four groups according to your preferable city.
Step 2: Make sure you have divided the roles inside your group and understand their functions.
The roles are: speaker, designer, journalist and editor.
Step 3: Come together as a group and combine and prepare a presentation. The presentation can
be as creative as you wish. You will present your ideas during the annual event "The day of
European languages". The final presentation of the project will be judged by the authorities of
Nakhimov Naval College.

The teachers will be more than happy to give any guidance concerning the correct preparation of
your final presentation. Remember that the teachers cannot do your work but can only give the
correct guidance to the groups.

Well done!
All groups did a great job. The jury was amazed by the projects. Therefore, under a long
discussion the school authorities have decided to give the highest score to team № X.
