План-конспект урока английского языка в 11-х
колледж-классах
по теме: «Университетская жизнь»
Цели урока:
- образовательная: усвоение и применение в речи лексики по теме
«Университетская жизнь: возможности для учёбы и социальной жизни»
- развивающая: развитие способностей к логическому мышлению,
извлечению необходимой информации из текста;
-воспитательная: формирование положительной мотивации для роста
творческого потенциала учащихся и стимулирования их речевой и слуховой
деятельности.
Объекты контроля:
- умение использовать новую лексику на практике;
- умение работать с текстом: извлекать необходимую
информацию, интерпретировать материал;
- уметь систематизировать информацию;
- выражать свое отношение на определенную тематику в диалогической
речи.
Оборудование: компьютер, презентация Power Point, раздаточный материал
Ход урока:
1. Приветствие (дата, отметка отсутствующих)
2. Ознакомление учащихся с целями урока.
UNIVERSITY LIFE
The theme of our lesson today is “University Life”. The aim of the lesson is
following: You should be able to discuss the facilities for studying and social life
in a university. And at the conclusion you should answer a question ‘Would you
like to study at a university and to become a higher education?’

1) Do you like to be a student?
2) Do you have time for your hobbies? (I read / listen to music / write poems /

different olimpiads and contests / concerts. / I’m not a very active person)

Task 3. A) Read the text:
(1) It’s great to be a student. Many colleges and universities offer great
opportunities for studying and for social life.
(2) There are several reasons why student life is exciting. First of all, students learn
what they need for their future profession. Secondly, being a student doesn’t mean
to study all the time. They get a lot of free time for their hobbies and favourite
pastimes.
(3) College life is amazing in many ways. First of all, there are many interesting
lections and training sessions. Secondly, students find all sorts of entertainment
there. For example, the ones who like sport join the local sports teams. There are
also so many parties, concerts, festivals, celebrations, competitions, contests and
other events.
(4) For many people college years are the best in life. It is even more interesting to
be a student if you live in a dormitory. As a rule students make many new friends
there. After the sessions they mix, solve their problems together. In the evening
they can play the guitar and sing songs. The ones, who like dancing, go to local
discos. Student life is always interesting experiences.
(5) Our Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin has many buildings.
Eeach of them offers all modern facilities and equipment for study, a large library.
There are several scientific laboratories. There is a large sport complex including
numerous gyms, stadiums and waterpools. There is a wide choice of sport,
recreation and entertainment clubs and societies in our University. Our University
has a students’ theatre and even a Zoo.
(6) The course of study lasts for five years. The students have a choice to study for
5 years and receive a diploma of a specialist or study for 4 years and receive
Bachelor’s degree and then study for one or two additional years to receive
Master’s degree.

Make a dialogue (5-7 replicas for a person) using this own as a pattern:/
Поинтересуйся у своего одноклассника, хочет ли он продолжать учёбу в
университете. Составь диалог (5-7 реплик на каждого), используя данный в
качестве образца:
A. Do you like to be a student?
B. Yes, I do. I like to be a student, because I can get a profession here.
A. Is your student life exiting (увлекательна)?
B. Yes, of course. My student life is interesting. I have a lot of friends in my
college. I can can take part in different contests (я могу принимать участие
в различных конкурсах) and become diplomas for them.
A. What do you like to do in your free time?
B. I like to read/ to do sport / to listen to music/ to dance at discos/ to meet my
friends/to play computer games/ to paint (рисовать) / to write poems/ ……
in my free time.
A. Do you think the life in a dormitory is difficult or interesting?
B. I think it can be interesting. After the lessons you can mix (общаться) with
friends, solve (решать) your problems together. The ones, who like
dancing, go to local discos.
A. Do you know what facilities does our Tambov State University offer?
B. I know that there are several scientific laboratories with modern equipment
There is a large sport complex including numerous gyms, stadiums and
waterpools. There is a wide choice of sport, recreation and entertainment
clubs in this University. TSU (ТГУ) has his own students’ theatre and a
Zoo.
A. Do you know what choices have students of universities today ? Now they
have a choice to study for 5 years and receive Master’s degree Or you can
study for 4 years and receive Bachelor’s degree
A. Would you like to continue (продолжить) your education at a university ?
B. Yes, I would. / No, I won’t. I would like to work in my specialty of
hairdresser / cook. (Нет, я хотела бы работать по моей специальности
парикмахера).
