Тема: “Computers: friends or foes?”
Цели и задачи урока:
Учебные: Совершенствование навыков и умений всех видов речевой
деятельности: умение работать с новой лексикой, воспринимать незнакомый текст с
извлечением основной информации, развивать навыки аудирования с извлечением
определенной информации на основе аутентичного текста, выполнять задания в формате
ЕГЭ, обсуждать проблемы по данной теме, представлять монологические высказывания.
Развивающие: Развивать способности к осмысленности восприятия и к
распределению внимания, к слуховой дифференциации, к логическому изложению
содержания высказывания, к формулированию выводов из прочитанного и услышанного,
развивать способности к коммуникабельности как явному или неявному выражению
своего отношения к теме
Воспитательные: Развивать способности к самостоятельному труду и
самооценке. Развивать у детей познавательную активность на уроке.
Оснащение урока: раздаточный материал. компьютеры, проектор, презентация
выполнена в программе “Power Point.”
Ход урока
I. Орг. момент:
Good morning, dear students. Take your seats, please. I’m very glad to see you at
English lesson again. What day is it today? What is the date today? Is anybody absent?
II. Введение в тему урока.
Let’s start. Today we are going to continue to speak about progress and the role of
different inventions in our life. Now you must think and answer what is the theme of our
lesson. Try to guess.

That’s right. It is a computer.

You see that there are different points of view according to this invention. And what do you
think about it? What do you mainly use computer for?

What kind of PC do you have?
Would you rather have a computer or person for company on a desert island?
Ss’ possible answers : Computers can help us to do a lot of things, such as: count, translate,
communicate, do crosswords, forecast the weather, play chess, check spelling, create music,
print documents, paint (etc.)

Addiction, takes a lot of time, cause diseases (lachrymation, eyes itch, load of sight, virtual life
changes reality, backbone curvature), influence of electromagnetic radiation of the monitor; lack
of eye to eye communication, aggressive games, information mistakes
Teacher: Well, you see that using a computer has some negative effects to our health. How can
we reduce its influence?

How to reduce harmful factors of the computer’s influence?
-It is necessary to do breaks during the work
-It is necessary to watch closely the substantial party of games which you plays, and
what sites you visit
-To put protection programs (for example, Kaspersky), to use the good monitor, to
consider its situation and distance from eyes to the display (45-60 cm);
-Time of continuous work with the monitor: for the adult - 2 hours; for the child - 30
minutes; break - not less than 15 minutes
