УРОК 4.
Тема урока: Are You in Charge of the Planet?
Цель урока: развитие умения читать (с общим охватом содержания, с целью извлечения
конкретной информации и детального понимания содержания), развитие умения высказываться
по прочитанному.
Стадия 1. ВЫЗОВ: На доске – кластер, в центре которого – словосочетание “To be in Charge
of the Planet ”, вокруг него записывается информация, как учащиеся понимают свою
ответственность.
What does it mean “To be in charge of the planet”? Происходит актуализация имеющихся знаний
по теме.
Учитель предлагает сделать вывод: if we are in charge of the planet, what we should and what we
shouldn’t do.
So, if we are in charge of the planet, we should:
- help animals and feed birds
- plant and protect trees
- take care of wild flowers and animals
- save flora and fauna
- help rare animals and young plants to survive
- keep the environment clean
If we are in charge of the planet, we must not:
- spoil the countryside, damage flowers and trees
- pollute water, air, land
- catch or hurt birds and animals
Далее на этапе актуализации знаний используется приём «Тонкие и толстые вопросы»,
закрепляется лексика по теме.

Стадия 2. ОСМЫСЛЕНИЕ
Учащимся предлагается прочитать тексты (стр.83 № 1).
Дотекстовые упражнения
Перед чтением учащимся предлагается посмотреть на фотографии и сказать, о чем будет идти
речь в этих текстах (технологический прием «Прогнозирование»): Look at the photos and say,
what are the children talking about?
Look through the text and say, who of the following children help the Earth?
Текстовый этап работы
На данном этапе работы используется приём «Бортовой журнал». Во время чтения текста в
первую колонку учащиеся выписывают элементы, несущие основную информацию, которые
помогут им рассказать, что делают их сверстники, чтобы помочь природе; во вторую – своё
видение данной проблемы, свой личный опыт. Read the text and try to understand, what children
think about helping nature and what they do to save our planet. Make notes. In the first column write
down the words combination, this will help you to tell, in the second one – your thoughts and ideas
about it
Прочитав текст, учащиеся сделали записи:
1) -it is necessary to help
- relatives, wildlife specialists
-care for otters
- prepare the baby of otters
-are sold, go to the states
- nearly disappeared
- help to care for otters
-to work for wildlife park
I have never done such a work. But I think it is
necessary to care for wild animals which are
disappearing now. And it is very interesting to
help them, to study their life
2) – ways we can help to save the Earth
- remember the three R’s
- reuse plastic bottles, bags, containers
- joined Young Ornithologist Club
- made a protecting area for birds
- made a pond for frogs
We sometimes think that we can do nothing to
help nature, because we are too young. It’s not
right. We should be environmentally friendly:
plant and protect trees, take care of wild flowers,
feed birds in winter, take litter home or put
rubbish into the bins. These are the ways children
can help nature.
3) - the problem is spoken about on TV

- groups are specially organized
Surely, children can’t do much to save our planet.
But they can take part in helping nature.
После чтения записей «Бортового журнала» учащиеся составляют предложения из выписанных
ключевых слов и словосочетаний и рассказывают, кто из детей чувствует свою ответственность
за планету.

Стадия 3. РЕФЛЕКСИЯ
Послетекстовый этап
Учащимся предлагается ответить на вопрос, с кем из детей они согласны и почему, а затем,
используя предложенный план, рассказать, что мы можем сделать, чтобы помочь планете.

Учащиеся получают домашнее задание написать письмо британскому сверстнику о том, как
они участвуют в охране природы.
