Задачи:
1. Научить аудированию аутентичного текста на основе видеофильма.
2. Научить извлекать нужную информацию из просмотренного.
3. Подготовить учащихся к составлению монологического высказывания и научить
составлять его, используя материал видеофильма и изучаемую лексику.
Развивающий аспект: развитие способности к обобщению, развитие воображения,
эмоциональности.
Воспитательный аспект: формирование ответственного отношения к проблемам
окружающей среды.
Учебный аспект: введение и активизация новой лексики по теме «Защита
окружающей среды», развитие умений в монологической и диалогической речи,
развитие навыков чтения и аудирования.
Оборудование: Видеомагнитофон. Учебник Биболетовой М.З., Трубаневой Н.Н.
«Enjoy English 8», аудиоматериалы.

Ход урока.
I. Teacher: Good day, students! I am glad to see you. Have you got any news?
- Very nice. And today I would like to discuss with you a very significant problem. But first
of all, watch the special video, and try to guess the theme of our lesson. (Доска закрыта)
(Учащиеся смотрят видео ролик The Earth is in danger”).
Teacher: Now I hope you’re ready to name the theme of our lesson. What is the main
problem we’re going to speak about?
Students: We’re going to speak about ecological and environmental problems, and problems
of the Earth in the whole.
Teacher: You are absolutely right. This is the main idea of our lesson. But let us name it the
following way: “WE OUGHT TO SAVE THE PLANET, WHERE WE, PEOPLE, LIVE”.
(Учитель открывает доску. На доске написана тема урока и эпиграф: We did not
inherit the Earth from our ancestors, but we borrowed it from our descendants.)
II. Warming-up:
Teacher: We start the lesson revising the words that you have already learned about ecology
and environment. Let us play a snow-ball” game: air, green, sun, tree, Earth. (Первый
называет свое слово, второй слово первого и свое, третий слова первого и второго,
потом – свое и т.д., пока круг не замкнется).
III. Listening and speech practice:
Teacher: Thank you for your answers! It’s the task for every one of us to think of the place,
where he lives. Now, please, listen to the tape and repeat the words that you will here. Try to
remember them. (В учебнике: упр. 3, с.40).
Now, please, open your text books on page 40, ex. 3. Listen to the tape and repeat these
words again.
Please, read these words and word-combinations in chain. (Учащиеся по цепочке читают
упр.3, с.40).
- Thank you! Please, translate the given word-combinations from the ex.3 in Russian, and
made your own sentences, using these word-combinations. For example: People should
protect their planet: rivers, oceans, forests and cities from pollution (пример на доске). For
this task you have about 4 minutes.
- Ok, please let’s check the task. (Проверяется задание)
IV. Watching the music video.
Well done! Now, please watch the video. It is the music video “the Earth Song” of a very
famous singer. Think of the main idea of this song and video, be ready try to reproduce the
most significant words of this song. (Учащиеся смотрят клип “the Earth Song”).
Well, thanks a lot! Very nice. Now I will give you papers with the abstract of the text of this

V. Speech practice:
Teacher: Very good! Now, please, work in pairs. Think of the main ways that can help to
make the environment better. Make up dialogues about the environmental problems in our
country and in the whole world. Look at the pictures on the blackboard (на доске
тематические иллюстрации с соответствующими терминами). Use these key points,
word-combinations from your cards and from the ex.3. p.40 in your dialogues. Be ready in 4
minutes. (Учащиеся получают карточки со словосочетаниями из упр.11,с.43 и
составляют диалоги). Проверка задания.
VI. Conclusion:
Teacher: Thank you for your work! Now, please, watch the last video and think of the main
idea of the epigraph of our lesson. What this epigraph calls people for? (Учащиеся смотрят
видео “The whole world in your hand”).
Students: To be green, to be sensible to the place, where we live, to protect the environment,
to take care of nature, to think about the future of our planet and try to prevent the
consequences of the negative influence of a man.
Teacher: You are absolutely right. And I completely agree with you. We’ll continue to
discuss environmental problems and the ways to protect the Earth on the next lesson.
VI. Marks and the home task:
Please, write down your home task: learn new words on p.40 and p.43, do the ex. 12, p. 43
(good reading and translation), ex.1, p. 56. And your marks for today are…. Thank you for
