The highest mountain is Mount McKinley in Alaska. It’s height is 6.194 meters. The longest river is the Mississippi-Missouri. (6.019 kilometers). The Russian Federation. The country is located in northeastern Europe and northern Asia. It consists of 21 republics, 6 territories(krai), 49 provinces(region, oblast’), 10 autonomous areas(okrug), 1 autonomous region. The capital is Moscow. Other main cities are: St. Petersburg, Nizhni-Novgorod, Tver, Volgograd etc. The area is 17 million sq km. The population is 140.3 million people. Nationality is Russian. The highest mountain in Russia is Elbrus. It is the highest peak of the Caucasian mountains. The longest river in Russia is The Volga. Saratov stands on the bank of the river Volga. Task 1.
