Тема: «Choosing a future career» (Выбор профессии)
Цель урока: формирование коммуникативных умений по проблеме выбора профессии.
Задачи:
- обобщить и систематизировать знания учащихся, полученные по данной теме (лексика,
грамматика – условные предложения ) через аудирование и устную монологическую речь;
- совершенствовать произносительные навыки;
- активизировать в речи лексические единицы по теме урока;
- практиковать умение вести диалог;
- способствовать формированию навыков монологического высказывания по теме урока.
- развивать мышление, память, языковую догадку; самостоятельность мышления;
- воспитывать уважительное отношение к различным видам профессиональной
деятельности; уважение к труду; формировать культуру общения.
Оборудование: мультимедийный проектор, экран, ноутбук, презентация по теме урока.
Ход урока.
1. Greeting.(приветствие)
Hello, friends! Sit down, please. I am very pleased to see you. As usual, three times a week we
have a chance to speak English, practice listening, reading, speaking and understanding. Let’s
take it today.
At our today’s meeting we have some guests. They are my colleagues teachers of foreign
language from schools of our district. They are very intelligent, friendly and kind. Don’t be
afraid and embarrassed. Let’s start. Is anybody away?
2. Warming up activities (активизация мыслительной деятельности)
I want to start our conversation with a poem

Some people often say to mе:
"Have уоu decided what уоu want to bе?"
I usually answer, "I don't know,"
But it isn't really so.
I want to win аn Olympic race,
I want to see the Earth from space,
I want to travel to Katmandu
I want to bе rich and famous, too.
I want to bе оn Hollywood's screen,
I want to invent а new machine,
I want to bе very clever and wise,
I want to win the Nobel prize.
- OK. What is this poem about?
P.: - It’s about one person who doesn’t know what profession to choose.
T.: - Well, that’s right. And now tell me the theme of our lesson -
P.: - “Choosing a career” Choosing a future job” Choosing a future occupation” (Исходя из
стихотворение дети выводят тему урока)
T.: - Good, look at the screen now. (на экране высвечиваются слова a job, an occupation, a
career, work, a profession)
T: - These words are synonyms, but each of them have their own definition.(учащиеся дают
толкование слов)
3. Lexical activities
- There is a great variety of jobs nowadays. Look at the pictures. According to the latest survey in
your group these are the most famous and prestigious jobs. What are these people? What do they
do every day. (на экране фото людей следующих профессий – учитель, доктор, инженер,
экономист, стоматолог, политик, юрист, журналист, программист, менеджер)
- Why are they prestigious and popular?

4. Practice reading (работа по тексту)
If you had a chance to choose one of these jobs what would you be? Why?
P: I would be a ……. because …… (учащиеся строят высказывания по образцу)
Is it easy to make a choice about your future occupation?(высказывания учащихся)
I offer you to read two short texts and thinr over the questions:
What should everyone pay attention to when choosing a future job?
What can your choice be influenced by?
(учащиеся читают два текста)
So to choose an occupation is one of the most difficult problem a young person face. What are the
things your choice depends on?
