План-конспект урока по теме '' Sport in our life'' в седьмом классе по
УМК О.В. Афанасьева, И.В. Михеева
Практической целью урока является: развитие монологической и
диалогической речи по теме урока, совершенствование навыка аудирования,
чтения, лексико-грамматического аспекта речи.
Цели урока:
Образовательные: продолжать совершенствовать лексико-грамматические
навыки чтения, аудирования и говорения по теме урока.
Развивающие: развивать мышление, память и познавательные способности.
Воспитательные: формировать мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка,
совершенствовать культуру общения на английском языке.
Оснащение: презентация к уроку, раздаточный материал, картинки, доска.
Ход урока
1. Приветствие. Организационный момент
Teacher: Good morning, dear pupils. I am glad to see you.
Pupils: So are we.
Teacher: Thank you very much. How are you today?
Pupils: We are fine. Thank you. And how are you?
Teacher: I am fine too. Thank you.
Let’s start our lesson. Look at the screen please. I have prepared a proverb for you.
Thousands years ago ancient Greeks said: ''A sound mind in a sound
body''. Millions of people who go in for sports know from their own experience
that this famous saying is true to fact. At the same time great members of people
do not go in for sport. Some of them realize that sport is useful but prefer
watching sports competitions on TV to going in for sport themselves. What do you
think about this famous proverb?
P1: I think it is true because......
P2: To my mind.......
2.Постановка цели:
Teacher: Children! Look around. You can see many beautiful pictures in our
classroom. What will be the topic of our lesson? Yes, you are right. At the lesson
we will speak about sport and games. When people think about sport they picture
in their minds different things. What do you usually think about when you think
about the sport? Look at the sreen. (slide ) Here you see the words which can help
you.
P1: When I think about sport, I usually think about... famous sportsmen, sports
competitions, World Cup, the role of sport in our life, Olimpic Games, sports
equipment, sports games, different kinds of sport…
Teacher: We must know many words to use them at the lesson. Look at the
words on the screen. These words are for the kinds of sport beloved by millions of
people.
Let’s read them. (слайд 4)

3.Совершенствование лексических навыков говорения.
Teacher: Children! I am going to give you the cards. Say which of them are
sports and which of them are games:
Skiing, skating, football, rugby, boxing, rowing, horseracing, basketball, golf,
running, high jumping, cricket, ice hockey, badminton, tennis, baseball.
4. Совершенствование навыков аудирования и говорения.
Teacher: Now listen to me very attentively and try to guess what sports and games
are described here. Then take a picture with a photo of this sport and tell us in a
few words about it.
1. The sport of moving through the water in a boat without sails( rowing)
2. the sport of going on horseback (horseracing)
3. a game played between two teams of eleven players (football)
4. an outdoor game, popular in Britain played in summer with a ball by two teams of
11 players each, usually dressed in white (cricket)
5. a game in which the players use rackets to hit a small object called a shuttlecock
over a high net(badminton)
6. a game for two people who use rackets, a small soft ball and a low net (tennis)
7. a game played by two teams of 6 players each that is played on an ice field ( ice
hockey)
8. the sport of fighting with fists (boxing)
9. the sport of playing a type of football with an oval ball (rugby)
P1- Boxing (Boxing is one of the oldest British sports that existed in Saxon times).
P2- Tennis (Tennis is played by both men and women. Tennis was invented in
1872. Wimbledon is associated with a lawn tennis and the first championship at
Wimbledon was in 1877. Wimbledon championships are held every May in
London nowadays).
P3- Ice hockey (this game is played by two teams of 6 players each on an ice
field).
P4- Cricket (Cricket is the most popular English summer game. It has been played
since the beginning of the 18th century. It is played from May to September. The
game is very beautiful. You need a special field for that game).
P5- Horseracing (Some people say that horse racing is the king of sports in GB.
buy others call it the sport of the kings. Only rich people can afford going it for this
kind of sport).
P6- Rowing (Rowing is the most popular of all kinds of sport at the oldest English
universities. The University Boat Race is a traditional sport competition between
Oxford and Cambridge. It is held at the end of March on the river Thames).
P7- Badminton (Badminton is one of the most popular game played all over the
world. Badminton rules were invented in England).
P8-Football (Football is a winter game in Great Britain, because winters are never
cold. The Football Association Cup is considered the best prize a team can get, and
the Final Cup is the most important football event. It is played in May at Wembley
Stadium).
P9-Rugby (Rugby football is played by teams of 15 or 13 members. The ball is
oval, not round, and a player is allowed to take the ball in the hand and run with it.
Rugby is a violent game and it is a national sport in Wales).
Teacher: So, these sports are very popular in England. Look at the screen. There
are 5 cards with the numbers. Choose one and use the given key-word in your own
sentence about popular British sports and games.

Teacher: One of the most popular game in the world, as in Britain and as in Russia
is basketball. .Look at your cards. Here you can see some information about

8 Совершенствование навыков говорения
Teacher: All over the world people of different ages are fond of sport and games.
As for me I like sports and games too. I am fond of basketball. Nowadays I do not
take part in sports competitions, but I do morning ex. every day .What sports and
games are you fond of?
Take the card with your name and put it near the picture with sport or game you
are going in for on the blackboard.
P1- My name is Olga. My favourite sport is..... because it helps me to spend free
time with pleasure.
P2 . My name is Dima. I like......it helps me to meet friends and different people.

Homework
1. Prepare two-minute talk on the theme “My favorite sport (game).
