Тема урока: Активизация в речи глаголов простого прошедшего времени на примере сказки
«Красная Шапочка»
Класс: 4 «а»
Тип урока: урок обобщения и систематизации изученного материала.
Цель урока: организация работы по усвоению глаголов в простом прошедшем времени с
применением технологий коммуникативной игры.
Задачи урока:
Практические:
- закрепить употребление правильных и неправильных глаголов в простом прошедшем
времени;
- закрепить употребление правильных и неправильных глаголов в устной и письменной речи;
- закрепить употребление наречий, характерных для простого прошедшего времени.
Образовательные:
- совершенствовать навыки монологической и диалогической речи; умение логично и связано
высказываться; умение анализировать и выражать свое мнение, описывать происходящие
события;
Воспитательные:
- воспитывать умения работать в парах, группах;
- воспитывать интерес к изучению английского языка;
- формировать культуру коллективного взаимодействия.
Развивающие:
- Развивать навыки мышления, логики изложения изученного материала в устной и
письменной речи с использованием дифференцированного подхода в обучении;
- развивать умение сравнивать, анализировать, воображать; формировать языковые навыки
учащихся;

1. Организационный момент. (1 мин)
T: Good morning, boys and girls. I’m glad to see you. (Cлайд)
Ps: Good morning, teacher.
T: Sit down, please. What date is it today?
P1: Today is the 23
rd
of December.
T: What day of a week is it today?
P2: Today is Wednesday.
T: Look at the window. What season is it now?
P3: It is winter.
T: Could you describe this season?
P4: Winter is a beautiful season.
P5: It’s time to make snowmen, skate and play snowballs.
T: Good, thank you. What is the weather like today?
P6: Today is snowy and cloudy.
T: Is it rainy? Is today cool or cold?
P7: It is not rainy today, but it is cold.
T: - OK. Thank you. Let’s start our lesson.
2. Этап целеполагания. (2 мин)
Т: - So, I’ll show you a video, that you will see on the screen. Watch it and try to guess what we are going
to talk about today. (Cлайд)
T: - You have watched the video. Do you like it? Is it interesting? What was it?
P1: - Yes, it is. It was a fairytale.
T: - Do you know this fairytale?
P2: Yes, it is «The Little Red Riding Hood»
T: Yes, that’s right. Now, I would like you to look at the next slide. What words are they? (Cлайд)
P1: They are irregular verbs.
T: Well, now, tell me, please, what are we going to talk about on the lesson?
P1: We are going to talk about irregular verbs.
P2: We will talk about Past Simple Tense.
P3: We are going to talk about fairytales.
T: Yes, you are right! You know that a great holiday is coming. What holiday is it?
P1: It is Christmas.
T: Right. Christmas is a fairy time, and today we are going to get into a fairytale. And the verbs in Past
Simple Tense will help us to do it. (Cлайд) So, you were divided into three groups. Today everyone has a
chance to save our favorite fairytale. But you can do it only if you collect all the sentences, which your
group can get for each well done task. I hope that our fairytale would be saved. Also after every exercise I
would like you to estimate your work in your own list of estimation. If you believe that you did an exercise
excellent , without mistakes, paint the square red colour, if you made some mistakes, paint it green colour,
but if you made a lot of mistakes paint it yellow.

T: So, let’s start our lesson. Look at the screen, please, and repeat after me: (Cлайд)

[ei] – say, came, grey, cake
[ǝu] – ago, spoke, go
[t] – liked, went, walked,
[d] – played, loved, lived
[i:] – meet, eat, see
[ai] – cried, nice, riding, lie
[ɔ:] – saw, short, small, caught
T: Good. Now, let’s play the game. On your desks you can see the cards with the sound; also you can see
the words on the slide. (Cлайд) Match the words to your sound. For example, to the sound [ɜ:] you may
write the words «were, bird, learn». And then we’ll read them.
T: So, could you read your sound and the words?
Ps: Our sound is [ai], and we wrote the verbs: fly, tried, my, goodbye.
T: Right, so all of you get for one sentence of our fairytale. Please, estimate your first task.

T: Well, I’d like we to play the game «Snowballing». Do you remember this game? The task is to repeat the
previous sentence and to add your word. On the slide you see the beginning of the sentence and many
different words below it that you may use in the sentence. (Cлайд)
P1: I saw a house.
P2: Yesterday I saw a house.
P3: Yesterday I saw a big house…
P14: Yesterday my friend and I walked, we saw a big beautiful house with two small windows and the
black cat who sat on the nice roof.
T: Thank you very much.

5. Развитие навыков аудирования.
T: Now you will listen to parts of three fairytales. Your first task is to understand what fairytale this part is
from and fill in the table on your desks. (Слайд - аудио)
T: So, you heard the parts of fairytales. Tell me, please what fairytale was the first part from?
Ps: The first fairytale was Little Red Riding Hood. The second fairytale was Three Little Pigs. The third
fairytale was Cinderella.
6. Закрепление знаний по теме «Неправильные глаголы».
T: That’s right. Thank you. Now we’ll listen to the Little Red Riding Hood one more time. On the next slide
there are many verbs and you have to write down only those verbs that you will hear on the tape and say
them in Past Simple form. Let’s start. (Слайд – аудио + глаголы)
T: Could you read your verbs? And say the them in Past Simple forms.
P1: love – loved;
P2: to be – was/were;
P3: to want – wanted;
P4: to see – saw
P5: to go – went
P6: to talk – talked
P7: to say – said

T: As we said, the fairy time is coming. We know that there are a lot of wonders in fairytales. And now a
wonder will happen with us. A magician came to us.
P1: Hello boys and girls! Today we will play the game “Magic cards”.
T: Our magician has got magic cards with irregular verbs. They are magic, because they will help you to
remember the verbs.
P1: I’ll give you the cards with the verbs.
T: Your task is to say the form of your verb: the first of the second. Who has the first form? Go to the
blackboard and put your card and read your verb.
P2: go.
T: Who has the second form of this verb? Go to the blackboard and put your card too. Read your form.
P3: went.
T: Is this pair right? The next, please.
Развитие навыков монологической речи. «Конкурс хвастунов»
T: Thank you. Well, recently we had a weekend. Usually we have a very good time on the weekend. Tell me
please what do we usually do on Saturday and Sunday? (Cлайд)
P1: We visit our grandparents, we cook, watch TV…
T: Thank you, now look at the pictures and say what we could do on the weekend.
P1: Went to the zoo
P2: Played puzzled…
T: I think everyone believes that his weekend was the best. So, tell me please why can you say that your
weekend was the most interesting? What did you do? My weekend was the best, because I went to the
theatre. What about you?
P1: My weekend was the best, because I cooked a cake.
P2: I think my weekend was the best, because I went to the cinema.
P3: I’m sure that my weekend was the best. My mother and I played puzzle.
T: Thank you very much. Take for one sentence for your fairytale. Please, estimate your third task.
7. Активизация в речи употребления общего вопроса в простом прошедшем времени (5 минут).
T: Would you like to play another game? So, the game is called «Guess who I am». (Cлайд) On the
blackboard you can see some photos of our fairytale’s characters, look at them. Who are they?
P1: They are Little Red Riding Hood, Wolf, Granny and Hunter.
T: Right. They will be mixed and one of you will go to the board, choose any photo, look at it, but you
shouldn’t show it to the others. Imagine that you’re this hero and the others’ task is to guess who you are,
asking questions in Past Simple Tense. Let’s remember how can we ask a question in Past Simple Tense?
You may use the constructions from the slide.
P1: Were you in the forest?
P2: Yes, I was.
P3: Did you visit your granny?
P2: No, I didn’t.
P4: Are you a wolf?
P2: Yes, I am.
T: Good! Thank you! Now you may get one more sentence. Please, estimate the fourth task.
8. Физкультминутка (2 минуты).
T: I think you are tired. Let’s have a rest. Stand up, watch the video and try to do the same.

9. Активизация в речи употребления специального вопроса в простом прошедшем времени.
Игра «Интервью» (5 минут).
T: Have you ever thought how old was Little Red Riding Hood? Or what did her grandmother like to do?
So, you may know it, if you look at the cards on your desks. But, as you see some information is missing.
Now, can you imagine that you are an interviewer? So, your task is to find out missing information with the
help of the questions, which you may see on the slide. Ask your neighbors and fill in your table. (Cлайд)
You may start.
P1: What did Granny like to do?
P2: How old was a mother?
P3: What was Wolf like?
T: So, are you ready? What did you find out?
P1: I learned that Little Red Riding Hood liked the red colour.
P2: I learned that Granny liked to read newspapers.
P3: I learned that Hunter was brave and strong.
T: Well done, thank you. Finally, you may get the last sentences for our fairytale and estimate your last
exercise.
10. Развития навыков чтения и перевода (6 минут).
T: So, you tried to do your best, that’s why you got all the sentences of the fairytale. On the blackboard you
see three pictures from «Little Red Riding Hood». Try to find out what picture connects with your part?
Whose part is the first?
P1: Our part is the first.
T: Put the sentences in a correct order. Are you ready? Could you start read one by one and translate?
P2: One day a mother asked Little Red Riding Hood to take a cake and visit her granny. – Однажды
мама попросила Красную Шапочку навестить бабушку и отнести ей пирог…
T: That’s right. Thank you! Let’s check your answers. Were you right? (Cлайд)

11. Развитие навыков монологической речи в простом прошедшем времени. (2 мин.)
T: Good, now when you remembered all the verbs, learned about our fairytale’s heroes let’s try to describe
every character of Little Red Riding Hood, (слайд) using the constructions from the slide. Look at the
pictures. Whom do you want to describe?
P1: I would like to tell about the wolf. He was 15 years old. He was grey and hungry, he liked to lie and at
last he ate Granny and Little Red Riding Hood.
12. Рефлексия (5 мин).
T: Now let's summarize the results of our lesson. What are your feelings? What did you learn today? What
was interesting for you? Do you like our today’s lesson? Look at the slide. You may use the beginnings of
these phrases as example. (Cлайд)
P1: It was interesting for me to save a fairytale.
P2: I liked to play the games.
P3: It was interesting to listen to the fairytales.
T: Before we finish our lesson, I offer you to estimate your work. Here you can see the bright stones and
two magic bags: a bag with a success and a bag with difficulties. If you think that the lesson was
interesting, informative for you, you learned some new words, everything was clear, we may count that it
was successful and you may put your stone into the bag with a success. But if you had a lot of difficulties,
the lesson was boring and useless for you, then you put your stone into the bag with difficulties.
13. Подведение итогов урока. Домашнее задание (2 мин).
T: Thank you very much. Open your record books and write down your home task. (Cлайд) Your home
task is to learn the irregular verbs and to do an exercise 58 on page 26, you have to write down the text
and put the verbs in a correct form.
14. Выставление оценок (1 мин).
T: So, take your list of estimation. Does anybody have all the red squares? Maybe anybody has red and
green squares? Who has yellow squares? Today all of you worked hard, were active and that’s why I give
you the following marks. The lesson is over. Good-bye. (Слайд)

4) Sentences for the fairytale.
One day a mother asked Little Red Riding Hood to take a cake and to visit her Granny.
Little Red Riding Hood went to the forest and met a wolf.
“Where are going?” – asked a wolf.
“I’m going to see my Granny” – answered Little Red Riding Hood.
Her Granny lived behind the trees and she was ill.
A wolf ran to the granny’s house and ate her.
He got into Granny’s bed.
Later, Little Red Riding Hood came to her Granny’s house.
She looked at the wolf and said: “Granny, what big teeth you have!”
“All the better to eat you with!!” – shouted the wolf and ate Little Red Riding Hood.
A hunter was in the wood, heard a scream and ran to the house.
The hunter hit the wolf.
The wolf opened his mouth and Granny and Little Red Riding Hood jumped out of it.
The wolf was very afraid and ran away.
And Little Red Riding Hood never saw him again.
