Конспект урока «What Do Young People Worry About?»
План урока
1. Тема: What do young people worry about? Что волнует современную молодежь?
Предмет: английский язык , 10 класс.
2. Тип урока: урок закрепления и совершенствования знаний, умений и навыков с
использованием ИКТ
3. Идея урока: выявить и обсудить основные проблемы молодежи, определить причины
их возникновения и найти способы их решения.
4. Цели урока:
Образовательные: 1) развивать умения аудирования с целью извлечения конкретной
информации;
2) развивать умения просмотрового чтения; 3) формировать умения диалогической речи с
опорой на заданную модель; 4) развивать умения поиска, анализа и выбора необходимой
информации из Интернета и создания персональных страниц презентации PowerPoint.
Развивающие: 1) развивать память и мыслительную деятельность учащихся,2) развивать
умения аргументировать свою точку зрения,3) развивать языковую догадку, общие и
образовательные умения, позволяющие совершенствовать учебную деятельность по
овладению английским языком;
4) расширять кругозор учащихся.
Воспитательные: 1) формировать нравственный, позитивный режим общения при обмене
мнениями,
2) повышать мотивацию к изучению английского языка.
5. Образовательная продукция, которая будет создана учениками на уроке: диалог в
формате ЕГЭ, персональные страницы презентации PowerPoint
Для урока необходимо оборудование: проектор, экран, компьютер, подключенный к
сети интернет, магнитофон.
Ход урока:
I. Организационный этап. Речевая разминка. Вопросно-ответная работа. Постановка темы
и задач урока. (2 минуты)
When a person is young he goes through all the problems more vividly. For teenagers nearly
everything becomes a tragedy. Love, friendship, conflicts, misunderstanding between them and
parents are all the things that go hand in hand with youth.
Let’s think it over and talk about the main problems of young people.
Do you think there are a lot of problems among teenagers?
Do you find them urgent?
What do you think are young people of different countries worried about the same things?
Do you have any problems at school or at home, or with your friends? Would you like to
talk about them? Do you know any teenagers who have really serious problems and need some
help?
II. Актуализация знаний. Просмотровое чтение веб-страниц, содержащих информацию о
проблемах молодежи. Определение основных проблем. Групповая форма работы. (4 мин)
Now I invite you to take your seats at the computers and look through some articles about
teens’ problems. What problems are discussed on these pages? Let’s name them.

III. Воспроизведение ранее полученных знаний. Аудирование. (10 минут)
Now we are going to listen to the interview with Melanie Stewart.
Подготовка к прослушиванию интервью:
1) - Before listening let’s revise some useful phrases.
(Актуализация лексических единиц проводится путем перевода выделенных фраз с
английского языка на русский и обратно с использованием затемнения одной половины
экрана с помощью инструмента «Шторка».)
A lot of teenagers suffer drinking problems. – иметьпроблемысалкоголем;
Associate drinking with adult hood. – ассоциировать прием алкоголя с взрослением;
Curiosity – любопытство;
Nobody had ever warned them of the dangers of regular drinking – никто их никогда не
предупреждал об опасности регулярного приема алкоголя;
Pay attention – обращать внимание;
The most powerful influence – самое мощное влияние.
2) Анализ упражнения на контроль восприятия текста. (Приложение 2)
- Look at this text and verbs above it. Here are some comments on the interview about the
teenage problems.
- After listening to the interview you should drag the appropriate verb and drop it into one of the
blanks of the comments. Pay special attention to the correct form of the verb.
Прослушивание интервью. (Приложение 1)
- What does Melanie Stewart do?
- Which teenage problems discussed in the articles is she speaking about in her interview?
- What reasons for teens’ problems does she mention?
(Учащиеся просматривают комментарии и глаголы, расположенные над ними.
Запись прослушивается дважды. После первого прослушивания учащиеся отвечают на
вопросы учителя. После вторичного прослушивания заполняются пустоты путем
перетаскивания глаголов световым пером).
IV. Оперирование знаниями, овладение способами деятельности в измененных
условиях.(10 минут)
Подготовка и воспроизведение диалога - обмена мнениями по заранее заданной схеме
(в формате ЕГЭ) (Приложение 3)
- As you can see the problems of teenagers are really very serious and a great variety of motives
does exist. Anyway there are different ways to improve the situation. Let’s think who can help
teenagers solve their problems and how they can do it.
- You are supposed to make up dialogues according to the model.
- Let’s listen to your ideas.
(Прослушивание диалогов учащихся, составленных в соответствии с коммуникативной
задачей, предложенной схемой и языковым содержанием).
- Well, your dialogues were really well done, informative and rather emotional.
V. Самостоятельное выполнение практической части работы. Проектная работа по теме
«Проблемы молодежи». (12 минут).
- Our last but the most difficult task is a project-work «Young people – Old problems».
- Here is a PLAN of our work. (Приложение 4)
- I’ve already had some necessary references for you to use.
- You’ll work in pairs. Each pair should make a page according to the point of the plan and given
references.
(Распределение пунктов плана и необходимых ссылок между учащимися).
- Choose necessary information from the Internet and pictures from the file “Teens’ problems”
on your desktops. Then make up a page in the Power Point and after that we’ll combine all the
pages together.
(Учащиеся в парах работают над составлением своих страничек. Иллюстрации
к презентации собраны в отдельной папке на Рабочем столе каждого компьютера. После
того, как страничка готова, учащиеся размещают ее в презентации в нужной
последовательности в соответствии с планом на главном компьютере.
VI. Обобщение и систематизация знаний и способов действий, полученных на уроке.
Демонстрация проекта. (5 минут)

VII. Анализ и оценка итогов работы. Рефлексия и оценка полученных учениками
результатов. Обсуждение проекта. Выражение своей точки зрения. Вопросно-ответная
работа. (2 минуты)

- Hello, everyone. With me in the studio today I have a guest. Melanie Stewart is a social worker
and deals with young people who have drinking problems. Mass media reports show that a lot of
teenagers suffer drinking problems. Is this really true?
- I’m afraid so. The recent surveys really show that alcohol cases are increasing.
- How awful. But there must be some reasons for that.
- Well, teenagers experiment with alcohol for a variety of reasons. First, a lot of them associate
drinking with adulthood. Curiosity can be one of the motives for teens’ first try of alcohol. And
most teens told me that nobody had ever warned them of the dangers of regular drinking.
Actually, parents don’t pay much attention to what their children do. And the most powerful
influence on young people are their mates. A lot of teens said that they had had their first glass of
alcohol at a friend’s party.
- Do you see any way to help them?
- A lot of young alcoholics are sent to special hospitals for the treatment. But sometimes –
without any success. The teenager’s attitude is very important too. First, I think there should be
much more information about the danger of alcohol provided by mass media, schools. Teachers
and parents can help a lot. Young people must have the feeling that somebody cares for them.
- Thank you for coming. And I would like to say to all teenagers. Remember, we care for you.
