Тема урока: Ты любишь праздники?
Цель урока:
Практическая: совершенствование речевых навыков говорения по теме «Праздники»
Сопутствующая: активизация грамматических и лексических навыков, навыков чтения,
активизация навыков вопросно-ответной работы.
Воспитывающая: повышение к изучению английского языка, воспитание культуры
языкового общения, развивать умение слушать товарища.
Оборудование: раздаточный материал(карточки с заданиями),презентация, игрушка
Ход урока:
I Орг. момент
Good morning boy and girls. I am glad to see you.
What is the date today?
Who is absent today?
What day of the week is today?
Today we have a talk about the most famous holidays and customs of Great Britain and
compere with Russian ones. (слайд 1)
II Фонетическая зарядка (слайд 2)
Look at the screen. Read and repeat the following words after me:
Easter Mother Defender’s Day Victory Day guess
Mother’s Day New Year Independence Day hollow
Christmas Women’s Day Day of Knowledge roast turkey
St. Valentine’s Day May Day sign

There are many holidays in the world. Nor only the Russian but also the British have holidays.
Everybody likes holidays because we don’t do to work, we stay at home, watch TV, listen to
music.We visit our friends and relatives. Before holidays we go shopping, buy food,presents.
What about you? Do you like holidays?
I know that all of us like holidays. Let’s remember how we prepare for holidays? Open your
books at p. 150 ex. 19 (слайд 3)
Let’s read sentences and try to translate them (зачитывают предложения и переводят)
How we prepare for holidays?
What do you usually do for your relatives and friends? (слайд 4)
What else come to your mind when you think about holidays? ( When I think holidays, I think
about….. (слайд 4)
IV Активизация знаний о речевом этикете
On holidays we always buy presents for our relatives and friends. When we get presents we
should thank our friends for a presents. How we can do it? Ex.20 p.150 Here some expressions.
Read and decide how would thanks them for a presents (читают предложения )
Which expressions would you never use? Why? ( It is impolite)
Затем ученики разыгрывают мини диалоги с этими выражениями.

The next task for you is to read the text about British holidays. I hope you will get new
information about it. Ex 21 p. 151. Read and match the postcards with the text about holidays (
читают про себя)
What holidays describe in text? Name me please.(слайд5)
What do you know about St. Valentine’s Day? (Easter?) (слайд 6)
How do the British celebrate Christmas? (New Year? Mother’s Day?)
What holidays celebrate in our country? (слайд 7)
