Задачи:
- активизация лексических единиц по теме;
- развитие навыков образования и употребления Passive Voice;
- аудирование с пониманием необходимой информации;
- поисковое чтение текста “The Fragile Planet”
Оснащение: магнитофон, компьютер, интерактивная доска, таблицы: образования
Passive Voice, неправильных глаголов, вопросительных слов, алфавит;
предметные картинки, слайды компьютерной презентации
Ход урока:
1. Начало урока.
- Hello, everyone! Sit down, please. I’ m glad to see you. How are you today?
2. Речевая зарядка. Answer my questions about seasons and weather:
- What season is it? (демонстрируются предметные картинки)
- What is the weather like in the picture?
- Is it warm / rainy / sunny / misty / cloudy (today)?
- What is the temperature?
- Now describe the weather today. Do you like it?
3. Определение темы урока.
- The topic of our lesson today is “Man and the Natural World. The Earth in Danger”.
We are going to improve vocabulary on the topic, to practice Passive Voice, to listen to
a dialogue to get some information, to read out the information we need. The computer
will help us.
4. Фонетическая зарядка.
- First read the words in transcription (запись на доске). One by one: [invaierenment],
[pelu:t], [ko:z], [distr^ksn], [d^mp], [poizn], [njuklie], [wepen], [sevaiv], [seif]. Now
repeat after me all together!
5. Тренировочные упражнения на активизацию лексики (представлены на
интерактивной доске).
- Now look at the words and choose those on the topic:
A shower, a rainbow, pollution, misty, nuclear weapons, a shortage of food, a reptile, a
poisoned river, heat, industrial waste, radiation, a greenhouse, a greenhouse effect,
sunlight, acid rain, a rainstorm, health, a population, an environment, destruction
(слайд 6)
- Match the words - nuclear weapons, poison(ous), waste, shortage - with the
sentences!
The weathermen are speaking about the … of water again this summer.
Factories pour a lot of … into seas.
Industrial waste can be … for fish living in the seas.
For the first time … were used by the USA in 1945. (слайд7).
(Translate the last sentence. Find the verb in it. What Voice is used here?)
6. Повторение образования и употребления страдательного залога
(c использованием таблицы).
- Что обозначает cтрадательный залог? Как образуется?
7. Тренировочные упражнения на употребление страдательного залога
(представлены на интерактивной доске):
- Make up sentences of what can be done with these (слайд 8).
Example: Houses can be damaged.
house / damage;
diseases / cure;
forests / ruin;
weather / forecast;
animals / endanger;
mist / expect;
habitats / destroy
- Complete the sentences with the words in brackets (слайд 9). Open your
copybooks, write the sentences down. (Один ученик пишет на доске.)
Animals in danger
Penguins (kill) because of pollution caused by oil from ships and other things.
Mountain gorilla that weighs over 100 kilos and is very strong lives high in the
mountains of Uganda. They (catch) because their hands (use) to make souvenirs.
African elephants (hunt) because people take their tusks and make ornaments
from them.
8. Проверка домашнего задания.
- Let’s check up your homework, open the textbooks page 50, ex. 7. You were to
complete the dialogue “Where do you want to live?” Show me your variants.
- Now check up your version with the tape-recorder. What are the missed words? Write
them down on the blackboard.
- Read the dialogue! Translate it! Now change over!
9. Пауза релаксации.
- Are you tired? Let us relax! Do the morning exercises!
- And now let’s retell the poem about the dog (page 42). Do you remember it?
10. Работа с текстом учебника “The Fragile Planet”.
- Open you books page 58, ex. 20. Look through the text. What is the text about?
- Find the Russian equivalents! (ex. 21, p. 60)
- Answer the questions! (Вопросы демонстрируются на интерактивной доске,
слайд 10)
1. What does the word “environment” mean?
2. What are the most serious environmental problems?
3. Which of them are described in the text?
4. What makes sea water dangerous nowadays?
5. Why is it dangerous to dump industrial waste in the seas and rivers?
- Read out the answers from the text.
- Now choose the best way to define these (слайд 11).
Greenhouse effect:
1) a building in a garden or park
which has glass walls and a glass
roof in which you grow plants;
2) a salad made mainly with green
vegetables;
3) the problem of temperature rise in
the Earth’s atmosphere.
Pollution:
1) dirty water, air and atmosphere;
2) making water, air, atmosphere
dirty and dangerous for people and
animals to live in;
3) people who make water, air and
atmosphere dirty and dangerous.
Environment:
1) air, water and land, in which
people, animals and plants live;
2) an organization that wants to
protect the natural world;
3) something that we do to prevent
air and water pollution.
11. Домашнее задание.
- Open your record-books. Write down your home-assignment:
ex. 21 b, p.62 to translate,
ex. 27, p. 65 to find some new information about ecology for those who wants to
do it.
12. Подведение итогов.
- What have we done at the lesson today? The lesson is well done. You worked hard.

environment in Great Britain”. My students from the 10
