Конспект урока «Shopping»
Good afternoon, children. How are you? The theme of our lesson is «Shopping». The
aims of our lesson are: (слайд№1)
1) to repeat new words and combinations;
2) to make up dialogs;
3) to improve pupil’s skills of reading.
Very well. Now tell me, please, what was your hometask? (ex13p260, to learn by heart;
your last visit to the shop) good of you. We’ll check them later.
We know different kinds of shops. What are they?(слайд №2)
Pupils: Baker’s, grocer’s, butcher’s, fishmonger’s, greengrocer’s, dairy, confectionary.
What can we buy at these shops?
Pupils: We can buy… at the…
Now let’s repeat these words. (p.258) (слайд №3) Make up your own sentences with these
words.
Ex: I must buy a bottle of milk.
Yesterday Mrs. White went shopping. At the supermarket she bought many things. What
are they? (слайд №4)
Pupils: She bought two bottles of tomato ketchup.
Now let’s read the dialog. (ex 12p259) «At the greengrocer’s». Читают 4 человека по
ролям (2 диалога в одном)
Please, answer my questions:
1) How many dialogs are there?
2) In what shops are the dialogs spoken?
3) What did Jane buy?
4) What did the girls buy?
Your hometask was to learn by heart the words. Let’s check them up. (слайд №5)
Выходят к доске, читают словосочетания и пишут слова на английском языке.
Let’s do some exercises. Ex14p261 Find the right answer.
Ex15p262 Make up as many sentences as you can. Use the following. (слайд №6)
- That’s a bit too much to pay for… .

- He wrapped… in … paper.
Ex16p262 Look at pictures and say what Nelly is cutting.
And we have one more task. Make up dialogs using these phrases. (слайд №7)

- Here is your change.
- I’d like to bye… .
You may say what you want to buy, in what shop, your likes or dislikes, what do you
want to cook, and to what holiday, for example, Easter, Mother’s day, Maslenitsa.
And the last task for today is to prepare a talk about your last visit to the shop. It was your
hometask.
Say in some words in what shop did you go?
What did you buy?
With whom did you go there? What did she buy there? What was the price of the goods?
You have to use reported speech.
So, today our lesson is over. You worked very well today, your marks are… Write down
