Ход урока
1.Организационный момент. Приветствие на английском языке.
У: Good afternoon, children!
Ученики: Good afternoon!
У: How are you today?
Р-1: I am fine, thank you!
Р-2: I am fine, thank you!
2.Сообщение темы и цели урока.
У: The lesson’s theme today is “Remembering the past times”, where you will speak about the past times with
the help of grammar structure “used to”. You will also listen to the dialogue.
3.Введение новой темы.
У: Look at the blackboard and say what it is.
(учитель показывает на карту мира, где изображены материки и страны)
Р1: It is our Earth.
У: How many continents are on the Earth?
P2:
У: How many oceans are there on our planet?
P3:
У: Name three countries in Europe, 2 countries in Asia, 2 countries in America.
У: There are many countries on each continent, aren’t there?
P4:
У:Would you like to visit all these countries?
P5:
У: Look! Whom can you see in the picture?
(учитель указывает на фото двух пожилых людей)
P6: two old men.
У:They are from Great Britain. What are they doing?
P8: They are talking.
У:Yes, you are right. They are talking about the past times. They are remembering their past times. Let’s read
what they are talking about.
(учащиеся читают:
I used to live in America when a child.
I used to work in India when a young man.
I used to hunt crocodiles in Australia.
I used to have a house in the Vatican.)
У: How will you translate all these sentences? What are they united by? Work in pairs. You are given four
minutes to translate the sentences and guess the meaning of this grammar sructure.
(работа в парах)
После работы в парах Ps переводят предложения, стараясь догадаться о значении перевода структуры
used to.
(учащиеся выводят общее правило правильного перевода и закрепляют
чтением правила – на доске)
У: So, Used to refers to repeated actions in the past (past customs). For example,
He used to live in America (but now he doesn’t).
He used to go to Australia (but now he doesn’t).
4.Закрепление грамматической структуры в устной речи.
(учащиеся закрепляют использование грамматической конструкции
в задании, которое предлагает учитель)
Say, what sort of food you used to eat when you were a little child.
For example, I used to drink milk a lot of milk.
Say, what you used to wear in winter
For example, I used to wear a warm sweater.

У: These are affirmative sentences. And how do we form negative sentences?
He didn’t use to like fish when a child. (more often used).=He used not to like fish when a child.
(учащиеся закрепляют использование грамматической конструкции
в отрицательных предложениях)
Refer the sentences into negative ones.
I used to live in America when a child.
I used to work in India when a young man.
I used to hunt crocodiles in Australia.
I used to have a house in the Vatican.
У: And how do we form questions?
Did he use to live in America?
Did they use to be good friends when they were children?
(учащиеся закрепляют использование грамматической конструкции
через выполнение упражнения)
У: Open the books at page 86. This is Mr.Brown. He is rather poor now. But when he was young he used to be
rich and famous. Look at the picture and say what he used to do then.
P1: He used to go to the restaurant.
P2: He used to visit a lot of countries.
P3: He used to have a car.
P4: He used to have a lot of food.
5.Разминка.
У: Let’ make up a circle. Each of you is given a country or a continent: Europe, Asia, Australia, Antarctic,
Spain, Germany, Vietnam, Iceland, Egypt, Italy, France, Africa, India.
(один учащийся называет свою страну два раза и два раза страну другого ученика. Тот ученик, страну
которого назвали, повторяет два раза и называет следующую страну и т.д..).
6.Закрепление грамматической структуры через аудирование. Учащимся предлагается прослушать
диалог, найти изученную ранее структуру и перевести её.
У: Now you are going to listen to the dialogue “Old ladies talking”. Firstly, what will this dialogue be about&
So, open the books at page 87 ex.16. Your task is listen to and to find the grammar structure used to and try to
translate it.
7. Заключение. Выводы.
У: What grammar structure is used when we speak about repeated actions?
How do we form affirmative, negative and questions?
8.Домашнее задание
У: Your homework is ex.16 p.87, ex.17 p.87 to read the dialogue, and answer the questions.
