Dear Lena,
Thank you for your letter. It was so good to hear from you. I also travelled a lot this
summer. I was very lucky. In August I went to Summer School in Boston. I spent four
weeks there. We lived and studied at a good state school.
We learned English 4 hours every day. At the lessons we read and discussed texts,
learned English words and poems by heart, played games, asked and answered questions,
worked on a computer. We didn’t speak Russian at our lessons. We also read much about
American history and traditions.
In the evenings we usually made a fire, played the guitar and sang songs. I took a lot of
pictures of my friends and of myself.

In spring and summer Nick works on the farm. In autumn the farmer gives him three
coins (монеты). Nick takes them and goes to a large town. He walks on and on in the forest. It's
cloudy and windy. Soon he meets a mouse. The mouse says, “Nick, help me! It's cold and rainy.
My children are hungry. Give me your coins, please. I'll help you, too.” Nick thinks, “Why not?
People will give me some bread to eat.” So Nick gives the mouse his coins.
Nick comes to the town. A beautiful but sad girl Liz lives in the town. She can't find her
nice ring (кольцо). Her father says, “I’ll give a lot of coins to the man who will find Liz's ring.”
Nick asks the mouse to help him. The mouse runs under the table, behind the armchair,
between the sofa and the wardrobe. Look! The ring is in the left corner of the kitchen next to the
fireplace. Liz is happy. Her father is happy too. He gives Nick a lot of coins. Nick gives the
mouse a lot of presents for her children.

Пояснительная записка
1. Назначение работы
Промежуточная аттестация в 5 классе проводится в форме теста. Письменная работа
ставит своей целью контроль уровня сформированности иноязычной коммуникативной
компетенции обучающихся при осуществлении такого вида речевой деятельности как
чтение, а также контроль овладения лексическими и грамматическими навыками за курс 5
класса.
2. Структура работы
Работа состоит из 3 заданий: чтение и 2 задания по лексике и грамматике.
3. Время выполнения работы
Время, отводимое на написание этой работы: 45 минут.
4. Система оценивания отдельных заданий и работы в целом
Максимальное количество баллов, которое может получить обучающийся – 21 б.
Каждый правильный ответ в задании оценивается в 1 балла. За неверный ответ или его
отсутствие выставляется 0 баллов. Исправления, сделанные обучающимися, ошибкой не
считается. Работа оценивается по пятибалльной системе.
Критерии оценивания:
«5» - 19-21 б.
«4» - 17-18 б.
«3» - 14-16 б.
