Цель
Формирование у учащихся базовых компетенций (ценностно-смысловой, общекультурной, познавательной,
информационной, коммуникативной, социально-трудовой, личностной).
Практическая (учебная): формирование навыков чтения, аудирования, устной монологической и диалогической речи по теме
урока.
Развивающая- развитие речевых навыков, мышления, воображения, логического мышления.
Образовательная – формирование представления о достопримечательностях родного края, о мире, сопоставление реалий своей
и других культур.
Воспитательная - воспитание чувства прекрасного, формирование у школьников чувства любви к родному краю, инициативы,
уважения к другим учащимся в процессе общения, способности к успешной самореализации.
Задачи
1. Обеспечить в ходе урока закрепление лексики по теме «Город».
2. Закрепить употребление речевых клише, необходимых для создания рекламного объявления.
3. Закрепить употребление степеней сравнения прилагательных в упражнениях.
4. Продолжить формирование умения чтения текста с извлечением выборочной информации.
5. Расширить кругозор учащихся путём ознакомления с местами отдыха и достопримечательностями г. Чехова.
6. Продолжить формирование умения составлять мини-проекты.
7. Содействовать повышению уровня мотивации на уроках через средства обучения.

1.Повышение мотивации изучения иностранных языков и стремление к самосовершенствованию в изучении английского языка.

You can find many of these places in Chekhov. So, in a few
minutes a tourist guide from Chekhov will come here to answer
your questions about Chekhov. I have some questions here but
what is it? All the words are mixed up! Let’s make up correct
questions and ask the guide.

2. Of course, sports fans can watch different matches: football,
handball, hockey, running races and others.
3. There are only three museums in Chekhov: the Museum of Memory
of 1941 -1945, the Museum of Letters and the Lopasnya-Zachatievskoe
Estate, which people sometimes call the Goncharov House.
4. Yes, of course. Some people say there are 56 restaurants and cafes in
the town. In my opinion, the most popular places with children are “33

5. Well, we have a very good community centre “Druzhba”. Many
popular singers, musicians and actors show concerts and theatre
performances there.

Now let’s read a letter from a boy who lives in Chekhov.
First let’s read some difficult words from the text.
After reading text, you should put down the names of the places
and what you can do in these places in your spidergram.

Look at the letter. In the top right-hand corner of the letter Egor

stop after the name.

Thank you for your letter.
In your letter you ask me about places in the town of Chekhov where
we can spend our free time.
If you’re a sports fan, you can watch handball, water polo or mini-
football matches, boxing and swimming competitions at the Palace of Sports
"Olympic". You can also go for a swim in the swimming pool there.
Those who are interested in literature can visit the Melikhovo
Museum where the great Russian writer Anton Chekhov spent his best years
and wrote his famous works. You can also visit the Lopasnya-Zachatievskoe
Estate where Alexander Pushkin’s children stayed with their relatives. There
you can see beautiful pictures and things of those times.
If you’re keen on art, you can join one of the clubs at the community
centre “Druzhba”. They have drama, music, dancing and songs clubs. They
also show concerts and theatre performances.
If you are hungry or want to have a snack in company of your friends,
you can easily do it at McDonalds. There you can buy snacks: burgers,
sandwiches, chicken nuggets, French fries, and drinks such as tea and coke.
Well, that’s all for today. I must go to my basketball practice. Write
back soon and tell me about your town.

The Victoria Art Gallery: paintings, statues, wonderful.
The Egg (children’s theatre): plays and musicals for children,
fantastic.
The Botanical Gardens: flowers, trees, exotic, beautiful.
Recreation Ground (stadium): football, tennis, cricket matches,
big.
Write to Egor and describe your town. Use Egor’s letter as an
example.

Well, your home task was to prepare short advertisements about
places in town. It was your individual task but now you have to
work in pairs and present your project together. Get cards with
the names of the projects and some words to help.

In a city or in a town you can see different signs. Look at the
signs of ex. 5 p.79 . Where can you see them? What do they
mean?

1) I can see the sign “Keep off the grass” in the park. It means “You mustn’t
walk on the grass”.
2) I can see the sign “No Smoking” in many places, for example, in a
swimming pool, at an aquarium at a restaurant at a theatre, at a department
store in a library, in a gallery. It means “You mustn’t smoke here”.
3) I can see the sign “Please Do Not Touch” in a gallery or a museum. It
means “You mustn’t touch things in the gallery”.
4) I can see the sign “Do Not Bring Food or Drink into the Area” in many
places, for example, at a theatre, at a department store, in a library, in a
gallery. It means “You can’t bring food
here and you can’t eat or drink here”.
5) I can see the sign “Do Not Feed the Animals” at a zoo. It means “You can’t
feed the animals at the zoo”.
