План-коспект урока английского языка "Popular British Sports and Games"
Образовательные:
Активизировать имеющиеся в опыте учащихся знания, полученные на уроках
английского языка, или на уроках по другим предметам, а так же из
литературы, газет, телепередач и т.д. по теме “Спорт”.
Формирование навыка употребления активной лексики раздела,
формирование коммуникативной культуры школьников, развитие культуры
устных высказываний.
Развивающие:
Развитие коммуникабельности, самостоятельности, умения сотрудничать;
развитие способности к логическому изложению, к формированию выводов.
Воспитательные:
Воспитание положительного, уважительного отношения к истории и
культуре Великобритании.
Оборудование: Картинки с изображением видов спорта, рабочие карточки,
карточки с именами учащихся.
Ход урока
I. Ориентировочно-мотивационный этап
1. Greeting
rnoon, Ladies & Gentlemen! How are you all today? (Thank you, we are good
today)
2. Выравнивание знаний
T.: All over the world people of different ages are very fond of sports and games.
Sport not only helps people to become strong and to develop physically but also
makes them more organized and better disciplined in their daily activities. After all
sports help people to stay in good health.
As for me I like different sports and games. I am fond of skiing and skating. I like
to watch volleyball competitions on TV.
What sports and games are you fond of? Why?
Task: Take the card with you name and put it near the picture with sport or game
you are going in for on the blackboard. /Ребята говорят, почему им интересен
тот или иной вид спорта, используя эти активные выражения./
Use these expressions to say why you go in for sport:

T: These sports are very popular in Russia. What sports and games are spread in
Britain? (football, cricket, golf, rugby, tennis and etc.)
T.: Look at the blackboard! There are 10 cards with the numbers. Choose one and
use the given key-word in your own sentence about popular British sports and
games. (from the text “Popular British Sports and Games” p. 239 Ex. 19) /На
доске прикреплены круги с цифрами за которыми спрятаны ключевые слова.
Ребята выходят, выбирают одну цифру, читают слово за ней и составляют
свое предложение из текста с этим словом./

Football is the most popular sport in the United Kingdom. Games are played from
August to April. The two best teams which are the winners of the Cup competition,
play in the Cup Final at Wembley Stadium in London in may.
Wimbledon
Tennis championships at Wimbledon are known all over the world. Lawn tennis
was first played in Britain in the late 19th century. It is played during the last week
of June and the first week of July.
Derby
The Derby is a very important horse race held in England in May or June. The
Derby is the most famous single sporting event in the whole world.
Open Golf Championship
Golf is the Scottish national game. The oldest golf championship is the British
Open, first held in 1860.
Five Nations Rugby Union Tournament
Rugby football has existed in Britain since the beginning of the 19th century. The
Five Nations Rugby Union Tournament is held between England, Scotland, Wales,
Ireland and France.
London Marathon
The London Marathon is a long-distance race. People have run the London
Marathon since 1981. Over 25,000 runners take part in the London Marathon.
University Boat Race
The Boat Race is a rowing race on the River Thames. it is held every year at the
end of march or at the beginning of April between teams from Oxford University
and Cambridge University.
Henley regatta
The Henley Regatta is a meeting for races between rowing boats at Henley, a town
on the Thames. People from all over the world compete each July in different kinds
of race.
