ОТКРЫТЫЙ УРОК ПО ТЕМЕ: «TRAVELING TO
CANADA» -«ПУТЕШЕСТВИЕ ПО КАНАДЕ»
(Ролевая игра)
Цели и задачи:
образовательные - расширение знаний учащихся о Канаде;
воспитательные - воспитание интернационализма;
развивающие:
- применение изученного лексико-грамматического материала в новых
ситуациях общения;
- развитие навыков самостоятельной работы;
- развитие логики речи;
- развитие навыков общения;
- развитие монологической речи.
Краткий сюжет игры.
1 этап.
Урок географии в английской школе:
а) рассказ учеников о географическом положении Канады, ее
реках, озерах, горах;
б) разгадывание кроссворда о Канаде.
2 этап. Беседа двух подруг после уроков. Одна из подруг, Мэри,
посетила с родителями Канаду. Мэри приглашает своих школьных друзей
послушать рассказ о Канаде.
3 этап. Родители Мэри рассказывают друзьям дочери о Канаде.
Оборудование: карта Канады, фотографии природы Канады слайды с
видами различных городов Канады, эмблема Канады -рисунок кленового
листа.
Ход у ро ка
I. Начало урока. Организационный момент.
Teacher: Today we'll visit a lesson of geography in one London school.
After that we can listen to the story about Canada.
So let's go to one London school! The lesson of geography. This is a young
teacher of geography. Her name is Miss Bell.
II. Проведение игры.
1 этап игры.
Miss Bell: My name is Miss Bell. I am your new teacher of geography. It's
time to begin our lesson. Today we shall talk about Canada. Canada is very
beautiful; it has woods and lakes, plains and mountains. Who wants to tell about
mountains of Canada?
Peter: I'd like to tell you about mountains of Canada. The Rocky Mountains
run parallel to the Pacific coast. There are also mountains, which run parallel to
Canada's east coast, to Labrador, in Baffin Island.

Miss Bell: Very good, thank you. And now Jane will tell us about lakes of
Canada.
Jane: Canada is a country of lakes. Besides the Great Lakes -Lakes
Superior, Huron, Erie, Ontario - there are many other very large lakes, for
example, Great Bear Lake, Great Slave Lake and lake Winnipeg.

Miss Bell: All right! And who wants to tell us about rivers of Canada?
Mike: I'd like to tell you about rivers of Canada. Canada also has many rivers: the
Mackenzie, the Yukon, the St. Lawrence River and others. The Mackenzie flows
into the Arctic Ocean, the Yukon flows Into the Atlantic Ocean.

Miss Bell: Good for you! Thank you, children! And now let's guess the
crossword about Canada!
The Crossword.
1. The name of one Canadian river.
2. The name of the ocean.
3. The name of the Falls in Canada.
4. The name of the ocean.
5. The peninsular on the eastern coast of Canada.
6. A large port in Canada.

Дети отгадывают кроссворд и вписывают слова.
2 этап игры.
Беседа двух подруг.
Магу: I say Jane! What is our homework on geography? I was ill.
Jane: Oh, Mary! I haven't see you for ages! Where have you been all this
time?
Mary: In summer I and my parents visited Canada. We had a good time there,
would you like to know more about Canada?
Jane: Yes, of course! And besides our homework is to read about industry
and political system of Canada!
Mary: Then you may come to me and my parents will tell you a lot of
interesting facts about Canada,
Jane: May I come to you with my teacher and my friends?
Mary: Yes, certainly.
3 этап игры.
Семья Браунов встречает друзей своей дочери и рассказывает о
Канаде. Мэри представляет друзьям своих родителей.
Mary: This is Helen Brown. She is my mother. She is a teacher of English.
Helen Brown: Glad to meet you!
Mary: And this is my father John Brown. He is an economist.
John Brown: Nice meeting you! You want to know everything about
Canada, don't you?
Miss Bell: Yes, of course. Would you like to tell us about Canadian
industry?
John Brown: With pleasure. Canada is rich in metal ores, oil and gas, the
metal, machine-building; motor car and ship building industries are highly
developed.
Затем идет беседа о Канаде.
John Brown и Helen Brown рассказывают о городах Канады, о ее
столице, о политической системе Канады, об основных провинциях.
Helen Brown: Look at this picture, please. It's a wonderful building of
Canadian Parliament in Ottawa. You know that Ottawa is an important economic
and cultural centre of Canada. (И т. д.)
После рассказа ученики задают «родителям Мэри» различные вопросы:
Peter: What kind of state is Canada? How many houses does the Canadian
Federal Parliament consist of?
Jane: What are the main agricultural products of Canada?
Mike: Are many of the lakes and rivers of Canada polluted today? (И т. д.)
После беседы друзья Мэри благодарят ее родителей за интересный
рассказ о Канаде.
Peter: Thank you very much for your story. This wonderful story will help us
to get only good marks.
The Browns: Don't mention it. Good-bye.
Учитель заканчивает урок и благодарит всех за участие в ролевой игре.
Teacher: Thank you for your good work at the lesson. You are wonderful
actors and you know everything about Canada!
Our lesson is over. Good-bye!

Teacher: Your marks are excellent.
