What day of the week is it today?....

Before we start our work let’s train our tongues. Repeat after me:

Do you like the this tongue twister? What is it about? It is about food.

Well, I have prepared some questions for you.

2.What kind of food do you like?…
3.What did you eat for breakfast?…

Your home task for today was to learn the words from ex.1p.86.
Complete the chart using the words in exercise 1, page 86(слайд)

ПЕРЕХОД К НОВОЙ ТЕМЕ
Today we shall speak about countable nouns. Open you copybooks to write down the rule. Nouns can be
countable ( those that can be counted) and uncountable( those that can’t be counted).Countable nouns have
singular and plural forms. Uncountable nouns haven’t any plural form, they have only singular form.
Countable nouns Uncountable nouns
an apple- apples milk
We use – many- with countable nouns and – much- with uncountable nouns.
E. g. There are many apples in the basket. There is much milk in the bottle.
Write down this scheme in your copy books
Now look at the ex.1 and say what nouns are countable and what nouns are uncountable.(слайд)
Look at the ex.2 and fill in much, many, a little,a few.
Look at the ex.4 and fill in much, many, a lot
Now look at the picture and say, which food is countable and which is uncountable:(слайд)
Make up sentences using – many, much-
For example: There is much milk on this picture. There are many eggs on this picture

So it’s time to have a rest and to play. Please find Russian equivalents to English proverb.(слайд)
