Описание материала: Предлагаю вам конспект урока в 6 классе по теме «Здоровье
и забота о себе». Данный материал будет полезен учителям английского языка,
работающим по УМК «Английский язык» И. Н. Верещагиной, О. В. Афанасьевой в
школах с углубленным изучением английского языка и студентам педагогических
ВУЗов. Этот конспект может помочь на этапе закрепления и обобщения знаний по
теме «Здоровье», направлен на воспитание у школьников стремления к здоровому
образу жизни.
Тема - “Health and body care.”
Цели - обобщить и систематизировать знания;
- развить навыки общения на английском языке.
Задачи - образовательные: развитие навыков говорения, чтения,
произносительных навыков, отработка навыков выполнения заданий в формате ЕГЭ,
развитие навыков диалогической речи.
- развивающие: повышение мотивации к изучению иностранного языка,
развитие навыка языковой догадки, интеллекта, памяти, внимания.
- воспитательные: создание условий для формирования ясных представлений
школьника о здоровом образе жизни, умения работать в парах, самостоятельно.
Оборудование:
1. Учебник «English V», авторы И. Н. Верещагина, О. В. Афанасьева.

Ход урока.
1. Приветствие, организационный момент (1-2 мин).
Teacher: The bell has gone. Stand up, please. I am glad to see you. Good morning,
pupils. Are you ready to work? Great! Today we will talk about our body and health,
remember what a person should do if he/she is ill and how to be fit.
Pupils: Good morning, teacher.
Teacher: Sit down please.
Now please answer my questions:
1. Who is on duty today?
2. What date is it today?
3. What day is it today?
4. Who is absent today?
5. What is the weather like today?
OK. Thank you
Учитель задает вопросы, а дежурные отвечают на вопросы учителя (разговор о
погоде, о том, кого нет на уроке и т.д.)
2. Речевая зарядка (2-3мин).
Teacher: You’ll agree that our health is in our own hands. Thousands years ago ancient
Greeks said: The ‘first ‘wealth is health. “Health is the best wealth”. These words will be a
motto of today’s lesson.
I’d like to start the lesson with the proverbs. All these proverbs concern one topic and that
is the topic of our lesson today. What is it? What is going to be the topic of our lesson
today? (They answer)Right you are. It’s health and keeping fit.
Look at the blackboard and match the beginnings and the endings of the proverbs.
An apple a day / in these three good health abound
Good health / keeps a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
Early to bed and early to rise / keeps the doctor away.
Eat well, drink in moderation, and sleep sound / is above wealth
3. Контроль усвоения лексики (3-5 мин).
Teacher: Now I want you to practice in using words of our topic. Match the
definition with the correct word. (Раздать карточки с заданием)
To cough, medicine, pain, to sneeze, throat, diet, to examine, patient, to suffer, to
recover.
a. To look at something or someone carefully in order to find out something

Pupil 1: to cough means to force air from the lungs with a sudden sound.
Pupil 2: medicine means something special that you take to treat an illness.
Pupil 3: pain means a bad feeling in part of your body when you are hurt or become
ill.
Pupil 4: to sneeze means to blow air out of your nose loudly in a sudden
uncontrolled way
Pupil 5: throat means the front of the neck.
Pupil 6: diet means what one usually eats and drinks.
Pupil 7: to examine means to look at something or someone carefully in order to find
out something.
Pupil 8: patient means someone who is receiving medical treatment.
Pupil 9: to suffer means to feel pain.
Pupil 10: to recover means to feel better and to become fit again after an illness or
injury.
4. Активизация лексических единиц. Повторение косвенной речи (5-7 мин).
Teacher: Ok. Now we have a text about Nick. He is ill. If you fill in the gaps in your
activity sheets you’ll learn what the matter with him is.
Now, please, fill in the missing words. I’ll give you 1-2 minutes for this.
Chest, blood pressure, pulse, medicine, hurt, lungs, cough, temperature,
ill, headache.
Yesterday Nick fell ... 1 He had a bad 2………… and terrible 3………….. It
4………… when he moved. The doctor came. He felt Nick's 5……………… and
listened to his 6………. and 7……….. He also took his 8………… and
9…………… The doctor told Nick to take some 10………………for his cold.

So, we’ve found out that Nick is ill. His mother loves him very much and tries to encourage
him. It is what she said. Report the sentences into indirect speech.
Nick’s mother told him:
“You will stay in bed till tomorrow.”
“Your temperature isn’t very high today.”
“We shall go to the doctor in three days.”
“The doctor prescribed a very good medicine for you. It will definitely help.”
“Don’t worry. You will recover soon.”
5. Тренировка монологической речи (3 мин).
Teacher: Now, let's remember when people usually do the following things.
1. Go to the dentist.
2. Drink warm milk with honey.
3. Go to bed early.
4. Take a medicine.
5. Go to the doctor.
Pupil 1: People usually go to the dentist when they have a toothache.
Pupil 2: People usually drink milk with honey when they have a sore throat or
cough.
Pupil 3: People usually go to bed when they catch a cold or feel bad.
Pupil 4: People usually take a medicine when they are ill or suffer from a pain.
Pupil 5: People usually go to the doctor when they are ill.
6. Физкультминутка (2-3 мин).
Teacher: - Now let’s have a rest. Stand up, please, boys and girls! Repeat after me.

7. Тренировка диалогической речи (5-7 мин).
Teacher: Work in pairs and make a short dialogue “At the doctor”, one is the doctor
and another is the patient. These phrases can help you, discuss several minutes.
(Фразы раздаются на карточках)
Useful phrases:
Listen to the chest and lungs, take the temperature, feel the pulse, prescribe the
medicine, ask about a diet, tell how often to take the medicine, give some
recommendations.
8. Развитие навыков работы с текстом( 7 мин).
Teacher: Yesterday we received the letter from Tom . He wrote about his healthy
life. Now, let's кead the text and answer the questions.
Tom's letter.
Hello. My name is Tom. Not long ago I decided to lead healthy life. Let me tell you
something about it. I don’t get up very early but I begin my day with exercises. I go out
and run about my house twenty times. Then I get hungry and have breakfast. I have a
big glass of orange juice and then a cup of tea. At about one I have my lunch. For lunch
I eat a lot of vegetables: cabbage, carrots, peas, fresh cucumbers, a piece of rye bread
and a cup of tea without sugar, of course. Sometimes I don’t have any lunch but it is not
healthy at all. It happens when I am busy in the city. I don’t like to have meals in public
places. I sometimes have dinner in the evening when I am hungry or when I have guests
at home. I don’t like to receive guests because we usually eat a lot of meat and fish and
other heavy things which don’t help you to be fit. My motto is “eat to live, but not live
to eat.”

Pupil 1: Tom runs about the house twenty times.
Pupil 2: Tom eats vegetables, fruit and rye bread.
Pupil 3: Tom doesn’t like to eat in public places.
Pupil 4: Tom doesn’t like to have guests because they usually eat a lot of heavy food.
Pupil 5: The motto is “eat to live, but not live to eat.”
9. Обобщение полученных знаний (5 мин).
Teacher: Read the statements. Are they correct? Correct the statement where it is
possible and give some advice what should we do to be healthy and fit.
Pupils read and correct them. (Предложения напечатаны на отдельных листах,
раздаются ученикам на парты)
1) Drink much cold water when you have a cough.
2) If you have high temperature do sports exercises.
3) Doctor usually listens to your lungs when you have a headache.
4) Drink warm milk with honey when you have a sore throat.
5) Eat many sweets if you feel a toothache.
6) Stay in bed if you fall ill.
7) Chocolate, sweets, cakes are useful for our health.
8) Eat dairy products and vegetables if you want to keep fit.
9) Do sport exercises once a month to be healthy.
10) It is very important to take medicine when you have a cold.
Заключительный этап, подведение итогов урока(1-2 мин).
Teacher: What new information have you learnt at our lesson?
Рефлексия.
T: What did you like most of all? What was difficult for you? What skills need training?

10. Домашнее задание ( 1 мин).
Teacher: Now please open your diaries. Write down your home task. Your home
task is to make a poster “How to be healthy”, draw and write some recommendations
for teenagers.
