Тема урока: Газеты в Великобритании
1. Обучающие цели:
По фонетике:
- тренировка произносительных навыков (звуки, интонация повествовательного и
вопросительного предложения;
По лексике:
- повторение и активизация лексического материала по данной тематике,
тренировка в переводе с русского и на английский язык;
- применение ранее изученного лексического материала в новых ситуациях
общения.
По грамматике:
- применение ранее изученного грамматического материала (косвенная речь).
Аудирование:
- практика в восприятии речи на слух с опорой на схему, выполнение
определенных заданий во время аудирования.
2. Развивающие цели:
Говорение
- развитие коммуникативной культуры и социально-культурной образованности
учеников, позволяющих участвовать в социально- бытовой и учебно-
профессиональной сферах, развитие монологической и диалогической речи, умение
работать с таблицами, схемами;
Чтение
развитие навыков чтения текстов с полным пониманием прочитанного;
Письмо
развитие навыков письма.
3. Воспитательные цели:
- воспитание культуры общения на иностранном языке, интереса и уважения к
культуре и традициям стран изучаемого языка.
Задачи:
1. Практиковать учащихся в чтении с различной стратегией.
2. Развивать навыки монологической и диалогической речи.
3. Ознакомить учащихся с новыми лексическими единицами по теме.
1. Начало урока. Организационный момент .
- Good morning, boys and girls! How are you? Are you ready to start?
- Today we shall have a talk about the role of newspapers in our life and decide if it is
possible to live without them. We shall also learn about different kinds of
newspapers that are there in Britain.
2. Речевая зарядка.
-It’s a nice day today? Isn’t it?
- Mary? I’d like to ask you a question. Do you prefer to listen to the radio or to watch
TV?
- What are your favourite programmes?
- Kate? Do you think that radio helps us to relax?
- Can listening to the radio be a hobby?
- Is it your hobby, Mike? (No? it is not. I prefer watching TV very much.)
- How many hours a day do you watch TV?
- What is your favourite channel? What programmes does it contain?
- What is your favourite TV programme about?
- When is it shown?
3. Фонетическая и словарная работа.
- As we know it is impossible to imagine our life without TV and radio. But one of
the most popular kinds of mass media is newspapers.
- To continue our work we should know the following words.
1. Read the words;
2. Pronounce correctly;
3. Translate them;
4. Put them down into your copy books.
5. Ask each other these words.

1. Read the task to the exercise.
2. Translate the statements.
3. Answer the question.
4. Listen to the tape to check.
5. Answer the question: Why do people buy newspapers in Russia?
Anticipating: Page 79, exercise 2. Look at the headlines and the front pages of some
newspapers and write down which of them are: - quality papers, - tabloids?
BB: Use the model: I think that ( I suppose that) the first/second photo shows
- Exchange your opinions with your partner.
6.Развитие навыков монологической речи и аудирования.
- It’s time to find out what typical features do tabloids and quality papers have?
- Let’s read the task of ex. 3, p. 80.
- You will make up the sentences one by one.
- Listen to your classmates carefully, and agree or disagree with them.
- Take your pencils, match the quality papers and tabloids.
- Divide into 2 groups. And on the basic of the facts above say what is typical of each
of these newspapers.
- Answer: Which papers are more popular broadsheets or tabloids? Why?
