Тема: Известные люди
Класс: 5 Б.
УМК: В. П. Кузовлев «English-5».
Цель: обобщить и расширить представление учащихся об известных людях средствами
английского языка.
Задачи:
- активизировать лексические навыки по данной теме
- уметь читать с целью извлечения информации из текста
- развивать языковую догадку
- планировать пути достижения цели
- работать в парах (устанавливать рабочие отношения, эффективно сотрудничать)
Метод: фронтальная, парная работа
Оснащение: отрывок текста «The Hobbit»
Ход урока.
I. Организационный момент.
1. Приветствие.
Good morning, girls and boys! Nice to meet you! How are you? I’m fine too.
2.Проверка готовности учащихся к уроку.
Are you ready for the lesson? Very nice.
Today we shall have an unusual lesson.
Please, be very attentive.
3. Постановка проблемы.
Do you remember what we did last lesson? Right, we discussed famous people of Russia. Today
we are going to talk about it in English.
II.Основная часть.
Do you know any famous people of Great Britain?
What do you know about them?
Let’s discuss some of them.
J. R. R. Tolkien, was an English writer, poet, philologist, and university professor who is best
known as the author of the classic high-fantasy works «The Hobbit» and «The Lord of the
Rings».Now you are going to read the extract from his book «The Hobbit ». Your task is to read
and translate. Then you should mark the right tense of the verbs.

Open your activity books on page 109, ex. 2. Your task is to fill in the gaps with the correct

Отрывок текста «The Hobbit»:
They saw the little dark shape of the hobbit. Bilbo was climbing the mountain. He has done
it for a long time. He is going to reach it tomorrow. He wants to do it fast because he
doesn’t like this deal. It was the fantastic Ring which had had the big secrets. He will help
his friend to find it. He is a real hobbit.
