Тип урока: комбинированный.
Первый урок по новой теме.
Задачи:
образовательная: формировать лексико-грамматические навыки говорения и чтения;
развивать умение читать, понимать на слух с целью извлечения конкретной информации;
знакомить с Конвенцией ООН по правам детей и основными правами, провозглашенными
в данной конвенции;
развивающая: развивать способность к рефлексии; к логическому изложению;
воспитательная: формировать правовую культуру личности, сознательное отношение к
своим правам.

1. Организационный момент.
Teacher: Good-morning!
Nice to see you students!
2. Введение в сюжет урока.
T: I` d like to start our lesson with the words of an American poet Jose Marty:
“The children are born to be happy”. How do you understand his words?
Pupils: To my mind children are happy when they have big families
In my opinion have pocket money
I think are taken seriously
are independent
do well at school
have their own values
T: I see that everybody has a different opinion. Are you happy?
P1: In general we are but there are some problems that worry us.
T: What are these problems?
P1, P2, P3 …
Family problems
Personal problems
School problems
Violence
Cruelty
Drug addiction
Discrimination, etc
T: Students, grown-ups investigate your problems and try to do their best to help you to cope
with them. But it is also important for you to know your rights and duties and this knowledge
will make your life easier and happier.
The topic of our lesson is “What Right is Right for me?” (Презентация. Слайд 2)
Listen to the poem of Albert E. Kahn.
“I claim the human right to live.
I claim the human right to love.
I claim the human right to work.
I claim the right to every child to eat.”
T: In this poem the author proclaims the right for everybody to live happily on the Earth.
Let` s have this poem as a motto of our l esson, as it deals with the problem of equal rights. It
especially concerns children because they are less defended and today you will learn about your
rights which are written in the UN Convention on the rights of the child.

agreement called the UN Convention on the rights of the child.

A) T: This is a point of view of a 7-year-old boy. Let` s read the articles from the Convention
and see if he is right.
Ex. 2 p. 104 Read in turns.
T: How can you say about your rights in 2 possible ways?

B) T: The Convention identifies 3 kinds of rights.

Work in groups and classify these rights into 3 groups. (приложение 2)

T: Read how the children` s rights are explained in the Guide to the UN Convention.
Ex. 2.4, p.105
Read the information and work with “a fishbone”. (Презентация. Слайд 12)
Here (head) we have the problem. On the top you have reasons (names of the rights), your task is
to find arguments or facts and complete the fishbone. 3 groups will have their own cards.
