«A walk down Hollywood Boulevard»
Цель: к концу урока обучающиеся смогут составить монологическое высказывание по
теме «Личный и профессиональный успех», обсуждать личностные качества необходимые для
достижения успеха.
Задачи урока:
1. Извлекать необходимую информацию из прочитанного и услышанного текста;
2. Знать основную лексику урока и строить с помощью нее речевые высказывания;
3. Участвовать в беседе, высказывать свою точку зрения по обсуждаемой проблеме.
4. Знакомить с биографией знаменитых людей.
1. Организационный момент.
Good afternoon. I’m glad to see you.
How are you today? Now come to me and choose one thing from the box.
A car. Do you like cars? Do you want to have a big expensive car in the future?
Money. Do you want to have a lot of / enough money … and buy everything you want?
A house. Would you like to have a beautiful house?
Do you want to have a good job in the future, respect, high salary?
I think all of us want to have these things in our life.
Now I ask you to look at the pictures and say your ideas about the theme of the lesson…

We are going to speak about success and successful people and their career. And discuss what
is important to be successful in your career and your life. (celebrities, actors and actresses,
success)

Exercise 1
Work in pairs. Read the task, please. You can see the list of things which help you to be
successful in your career or life. You have 2 minutes to translate these words. Use a dictionary,
if it’s necessary. Discuss what is important to be successful in your career and your life.

Very good. It’s your opinion. But sometimes people don’t know these important things and

Well, this is your opinions and now let’s watch a video about success. This is a famous actor
Will Smith and he tells about his way of success and shares his experience with people. Try to
guess what is important for him to get success.
