Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку для учащихся 6 «А» класса
“Do you know Britain well?”
Цели:
Образовательные: в занимательной форме выявить уровень знаний учащихся
по теме «Великобритания» ( основные географические данные- население,
столицы, символы, культурные достопримечательности некоторых городов,
флаги и др.), систематизировать знания по данной теме.
Развивающие: развивать память, речь, внимание, смекалку, умение работать
в команде, добиваться поставленных целей.
Воспитательные: воспитывать культуру поведения, уважение и интерес к
культурному наследию страны изучаемого языка.
Оборудование: презентация с вопросами викторины, для каждой команды-
флаг и карта Великобритании (черно-белый вариант), карточки с цифрами 1-
4 для каждой команды.
Ход мероприятия

2. Постановка целей и задач
- Hello, my dear friends! I’m glad to see you. I hope, you are fine today.
Today we have an interesting competition “Do you know Britain well ”.
Сегодня у нас необычное внеклассное мероприятие. Участники команд всех
6-х классов нашей школы будут соревноваться и проявлять свои знания.
Тема нашей викторины “Do you know Britain well?” Викторина состоит из
пяти туров:
Первый тур- 20 вопросов о географии, культурном и историческом наследии
страны изучаемого языка. ( The first round - 20 questions about geography,
cultural and historical heritage of the UK.)
Второй тур- путешествие по карте Великобритании. (The second round -
journey through the map of the UK.)
Третий тур- грамматическая страница. (The third round - tour is the
grammatical page.)
Четвертый тур-. (The fourth round - customs and traditions in England.)
Пятый тур - конкурс эрудитов. (The fifth round - the contest of erudites.)

3. Основная часть
Первый тур
состоит из 20 вопросов, за каждый правильный ответ команда получает 1
балл.
( Для проведения первого тура используется презентация. За отведенное
время ( 10 минут) команды должны выбрать правильный ответ на
представленные вопросы, включенные в презентацию ).

(после выполнения заданий первого тура викторины подводятся итоги,
указываются баллы, набранные каждой командой.)

Второй тур-
путешествие по карте Великобритании.
Двум командам выдается лист с напечатанными флагом и картой
Великобритании. За отведенное время ( 10 минут) команды должны :
- раскрасить государственный флаг Великобритании
- оформить карту страны с указанием основной географической
информации ( название страны, столицы, символы, население, города,
достопримечательности и др.)
При подведении итогов 1 балл выставляется за каждое правильное слово,
0,5 балла за слово с незначительным количеством ошибок)

Третий тур
- грамматическая страница.
Двум командам выдается одинаковый лист с напечатанным текстом о
Великобритании. За отведенное время (8 минут) командам нужно найти
и подчеркнуть 9 фактических ошибок . Correct 9 factual mistakes.
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is situated on the
British Isles. It consists of four parts: England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
England, Wales , Scotland and Northern Ireland occupy the territory of Great
Britain.
The territory of the United Kingdom is about 24,000 square kilometers. The
population is over 96,5 million. The capital of the country is London.
The surface of Great Britain varies greatly. The northern and western part of the
country is mountainous and is called the Lowlands. All of the rest is a vast plain
which is called the Highlands. The mountains are not very high. The rivers are not
long.
The climate is cold the whole year round.
Great Britain is a highly developed industrial country. One of the chief industries
of the country is shipbuilding.
Great Britain is a country with old cultural traditions and customs. The most
famous educational centers are Harvard and Cambridge universities. The education
is not free, it is expensive.
The United Kingdom is a Queen Republic and the Queen is the head of the state.
But in practice it is ruled by the elected government with a Prime Minister at the
head. The British Parliament consists of two chambers: the House of Lords and the
House of Commons. There are two main political parties in Great Britain: the
Labour, the Conservative Parties. The Labour Party is the ruling party nowadays.

Каждая команда получает по 5 предложений о Customs and Traditions in
England, где необходимо прочитать и объяснить смысл . Read the text and

Customs and Traditions in England
1. They are generally disciplined; you never hear loud talk in the street.
2. English people do not shake hands when meeting one another;.
3. My house is my castle” says a widely known English proverb.
4. Saturday evening is the best time for parties, dances, going to the cinema or
theatre.
5. Tea is part of the prose of British life, as necessary as potatoes and bread.
1. Britain is a nation of animal lovers.
2. Some go shopping on Saturday mornings, some do the house - washing,
cleaning.
3. Seven cups of it wake you up in the morning, 9 cups will put you to sleep at
night.
4. The fire is the focus of the English Home.
5. The love of gardens is deep-rooted in the British people.

- конкурс эрудитов
На доске записывается название государства The United Kingdom
Задача команд как можно быстрее подобрать слова, связанные с
Объединенным Королевством, содержащие данные буквы. Команде
присуждается 1 балл за слово с незначительными ошибками и 2 балла за
правильно написанное слово, 0 баллов за неправильное слово или слово, не
относящееся к заданной теме.
Например:
T – thistle, h – Northern Ireland, e- rose
U- Edinburgh, n- Sally Lunn’s, i- daffodil, t- Bath, e- Loch Ness, d- daffodil
K- Buckingham Palace, i- Cardiff, n- London, g- bagpipes, d- Scotland, o- York,
m- shamrock
4. Подведение итогов
После выполнения заданий всех туров подводятся итоги с подсчетом
набранных баллов, и определяется и награждается команда победитель.
