Christ the Redeemer is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is made between 1922 and 1931 by French sculptor Paul Landowski and the Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa. Statue is 30 m tall, not including its 8-metre pedestal, and its arms stretch 28 m wide.
