Урок «Friendship» предназначен для классного чтения. Урок состоит из
фонетической зарядки - повторения правил чтения и упражнения по
произношению, базового текста с тематическим словарем и упражнениями
на проверку понимания и навыков извлечения информации, устными и
дискуссионными упражнениями на закрепление материала.
Урок рассчитан на учащихся старших классов средних учебных
заведений, абитуриентов, студентов средних специальных учебных
заведений.

Цели:
1. Знакомство учащихся с некоторыми особенностями дружбы людей.
2. Формирование лексических навыков чтения и говорения.
3. Развитие умения читать с целью извлечения конкретной информации и
детального понимания содержания.

Friendship is a very important thing in people’s lives. It is so nice to have a
person you can rely on. Chose friends usually have similar ideas and beliefs. They
understand, respect and trust each other.
A real friend is ready to share not only your joys but your sorrows and
troubles. A devoted friend is the one to whom you can turn for help and advice.
On the other hand friendship develops your responsibility and your ability to
consider other peoples feelings and opinions. I think that friendship is a great
force. But we must also think how to keep friendship going because good friends
are easier lost than found.
I have a lot of friends. I can’t imagine my life without friends, they make my
life more interesting and enjoyable. Now I’d like to tell you about my best friend
Olga. We got acquainted many years ago (at school) when we were little children.
Our friendship grew with years and now we are inseparable.
Olga is a pretty girl. She is thin, slender and stylish. She has got lovely dark
hair, blue eyes with long lashes. She is hardworking, organized and does well at
school. She is always ready to give you a hand. She is a kind person who always
knows how to have a good time. Olga has a good sense of humour and never looks
moody. These qualities attract to her all the people who come in touch with her.
We are never bored when we are together. We spend much time, help each
other to do our homework, walk in the park, exchange books, listen to music and
discuss the latest school news. We know that we can trust each other in need.
It is not easy to meet a true and faithful friend. I’m happy that I have met Olga.
I’m sure that I can rely on her in any situation. She is the one who I can turn to for
help and who I can tell all my secrets and problems.
I respect my friend for her strong will, cheerful and kind character, her
intellect and modesty. She is always full of ideas and knows what and how to do. It
is very pleasant to be with her around.
