Новопавловка Название презентации The famous person Vyacheslav Ivanovich Polunin  was a Russian performance artist and clown. The talented artist He is one of the rare artists who have climbed to the top of their chosen profession. In his childhood Polunin was born June 12, 1950, in the town of Novosil, Oryol Oblast, Russia, into the family of a shop assistant. He was successful in his school theatre, imitating Charlie Chaplin, but was refused entry to the Leningrad Theater Institute due to poor pronunciation. After a few years' study at an engineering school, he graduated from the Leningrad Institute for Soviet Culture, where he later taught. Family He has a wife (Elena Dmitrievna). She is an actress, works with her husband. Children: Dmitry Ushakov; Polunin Paul was studying at the music school in St. Petersburg; Ivan Polunin plays on stage with his parents. Career In 1968, Polunin started the semi-professional pantomime theater, Litsedeyi. In 1981, his first very successful television performance took place on the New Year's Eve program Goluboy Ogonyok. It was a part of his famous Asisyai-revue. New place to live In 1995 he has moved to England. He has been living there. But he presents his shows in Russia. He travells to different countries. Over 25 years they have made unbelievable progress and have become a national attraction. Their theatrical characters are known to everyone in Russia. Snow show One of his most successful productions has been the “Snow Show”, which began in 1996 in Britain. It has been a hit in over 80 countries. Snowballs A well known Russian artist and fashion designer Mikhail Shemyakin made some fantastic costumes for Slava’s “Snow Show”. As a boy, he was fond of playing snowballs and making tunnels under the snow. In his “Snow Show” Slava realized the fantasy of his childish games as a mime actor. Polunin’s show Polunin’s show is constantly changing. Each show is so different from another that “If you watch the show once a year, you will see that each time it’s a new one,” says Slava Polunin. Mime artists Mime traditionally means acting without words. Mime artists believe that they can communicate without language- speak with their bodies. Slava Polunin believes that you can do a show without words but if it needs a word, it’s better to put one in. Awards He has earned many prestigious awards including Gold Angle (Scotland), Gold Nose (Spain), Triumph (Russia) and Laurence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment (1998). The end.
