Конспект урока “The Lion King”

Заключительный урок в серии уроков домашнего чтения по
книгу “The Lion King”
1. Цикл уроков по данной теме состоит из 10 занятий. Данный урок
является заключительным.
2. Цель данного урока – развитие коммуникативных и творческих
способностей учащихся, а также речевых навыков. Стимулирование
интереса учеников к чтению книг на английском языке.
3. Данный урок состоит из 2х этапов.
1й этап – обобщение и систематизация материала прочитанной книги.
На этом этапе используется метод вопросно-ответной работы.
Вопросы подготовлены учениками в качестве домашнего задания.
Также по подготовленным учащимися картинкам с изображениями
героев сказки ученикам предлагается найти смысловое соответствие.
На данном этапе урока целесообразно провести упражнение по типу
верно/неверно (true/false).
2й этап урока – мини-спектакль, подготовленный по книге учителями
и учениками.
Этап 1
We would like to introduce the final Home Reading lesson on the book “The Lion
King” available in the Penguin Kids series. The last term was devoted to reading
this exciting fairy tale. First of all we are eager to ask some questions to refresh our
memories about the book.
WARM UP
1. What story have we read? “The Lion King”
2. What is it about? Simba’s adventures
3. Who are Simba’s friends? Nala, Timon and Pumbaa
4. Who is the villain in the story? Scar is
5. What episodes do you like best?
a) I like when Simba and Nala went to the secret place
b) I like how Mufasa saved his little son Simba
c) I enjoy when Simba fought Scar and won
6. What is the main idea of the story? “Friends help their friends”.
RIDDLES
1. He is big and strong.
2. He told a little lion about the great circle of life.
3. The hyenas turned and ran away from him.
4. He pushed his way through the wildebeests.
5. He was killed by his brother.
WHO IS HE? (MUFASA)
1. At the start of the story he was a little bit silly.
2. He ran across the desert until he was tired.
3. He found two new friends.
4. He understood that he could not run from the past.
5. He told his uncle:”Run away and never return!”
WHO IS HE?( SIMBA)
WHO ARE THEY? (TIMON and PUMBAA)
1. They are good friends to Simba.
2. Their favourite slogan is “Friends don’t eat friends”
3. They found Simba in the desert.
4. Simba saved them from a hungry lioness.
5. They went to the Pride Lands with Simba and Nala, because “Friends help
their friends”’.
WHO IS SHE? (NALA)
1. She was Simba’s best friend at the start of the story.
2. 2. Simba and she were scared when three hyenas ran after them.
3. She told Simba to go back, because he was the true King.
4. She became Simba’s wife.
WHO ARE THEY? (HYENAS)
1. They are not brave at all.
2. They are proud of their words “We eat little lions who come here!”
3. They are faster than little lions.
4. They are afraid of Mufasa.
5. They turned away and ran away from the Lion King.
WHO IS HE? (SCAR)
1. He is the worst character in the story.
2. He wanted to be the King, so he sent Simba to the secret place.
3. He pushed his brother down to the stampede below them.
4. He told little Simba:”Run away and never return!”
5. At the end of the story Simba fought him and won!

Now we are going to show you some pictures. Your task is to match the
animal words and pictures. Are you ready? Let’s start!

книги, а также названия персонажей-животных).
Этап 2
Ведущий представляет подготовленную учениками постановку и
персонажей пьесы.
We all enjoyed the book very much and are willing to show you a short play
written by the pupils of 4B form with their teachers’ help. We do hope you’d
love our performance!
Now meet our beloved characters. The fist one is Mufasa. He is the king.
Cheer him up by clapping your hands. The second one is his son Simba.
Cheer him up too, please!
Now look at the villain – it is Scar. You may boo him, but don’t throw rotten
fruit at him!
Simba has got two devoted friends. They are Timon the meerkat and
Pumbaa the warthog.
A very important character in our play is Nala. She is Simba’s best friend.
She is beautiful, isn’t she?

Часть 1 «Отец и сын».
(Ночь. На высокой скале восседает Mufasa и его сын Simba)
Mufasa: I’m Mufasa! I’m the king of the Pride Lands…
Simba: I’m Simba…
Mufasa: (останавливает сына) Sh-h-h! Simba! Listen to me. I’m the king of the
Pride Lands! And I’m also your father, Simba. You are a good son.
Simba: I liked to sit on the high rock with you, my father, and listen to you.
Mufasa: (гладит сына по голове) We looked down on all the lands below us
and I said: One day you’re going to be the king of all this. It must be so! This is the
great circle of life!
Simba: (прикладывает руку к сердцу, словно клянется) I understand, father.
I understand it. I do not want my father to be angry with me.
(Под скалу пробирается и подслушивает разговор отца и сына Scar)
Simba, look up at the stars… The great lion kings of the past look down on us from
up there. Those kings are always going to be there for you. I live inside you,
Simba. You must remember that. You are my son and the one true king.
Remember…
Simba: I’ll remember your words, Lion King.
Mufasa: You are a very good son, Simba. And now we are going to sleep…
(уходят).
Часть 2 “Коварство Scar”
Scar: (разминает затёкшие конечности и начинает зло пародировать
Mufasa и Simba) - Who is the king? – Mufasa!!! Who is the king’s son? –
Simba!!! Who wants to be the king??? – I do!!! Who am I??? I’m – Scar, I’m
Mufasa’s brother!!! I have always wanted to be the king of the Pride Lands,
always! (прислушивается и слышит вой гиен) Oh, I know how to do it!! You
are going to get a surprise, Simba!!! (радостно резвится от придуманного
коварного плана) I told Simba about a place outside the Pride Lands. There are
elephant bones there. But it’s a secret.” Please don’t go there!!! It’s very
dangerous for young lions!!!” (вой гиен слышен сновa). Simba was excited. He
wanted to know more about the dangerous place. (хохочет от предвкушения
гибели племянника.) The hyenas will laugh at him: “ This is our place!!! We eat
little lions who come here!!!” and AM-M – the end! And I’m the KING!
Часть 3 «Ревность друзей»
Timon: (резко очищая банан) I'm the warthog. My name is Timon…
Pumbaa: ( перебивая его и размахивая веточкой) Аnd …I’m the meerkat! And
my name’s Pumbaa!
Timon и Pumbaa вместе: We are Simba’s friends! And “Friends don’t eat
friends!”
Timon: Do you remember Simba telling us: “ Simba ran and ran, ran and ran…
(показывает, как бежал львенок). Не was scared and sad. Simba left the land
of the lions and started to run across the desert.
Pumbaa: After hours with desert all around him, he could not run any more. He
was hungry and thirsty and tired.
Timon: “ He isn’t dead!” cried Pumbaa the warthog. Pumba cried to me!
Pumbaa: “ Lions eat meerkats!” said Timon the meerkat. Timon said to me!
Nimon and Pumbaa: “ But perhaps this lion can be our friend. FRIENDS DON’T
EAT FRIENDS!”
Timon: It was the start of a different life for Simba with his two new friends.
Pumbaa: Yes! Simba lived with Timon (показывает на него) and
Pumbaa(показывает на себя) for many years.
Timon: Yes! Simba became a big lion with us! Right?
Pumbaa: Yes!!! Yes!!!
Timon: (передразнивая друга) Yes… yes! And then… the two lions started to
fight…
Pumbaa: …and?
Timon: (поясняя с раздражением) But then Simbaa stopped and said: “ Nala?”
The lioness stopped and said: “Simba?”
Pumbaa: Yes! She said it… And the two lions started to laugh.
Timon: “What’s happening here?” asked Timon. (указывая на себя с
возмущением) “Do you know her?”
Pumbaa: “ Yes! Nala was my best friend years ago!” cried Simba. (говорит с
видом обреченности).
Часть 4 « Возвращение Simba»
(прогуливаясь, входят Nala и Simba, Timon и Pumbaa прячутся)
Nala: I told you about life at home: Scar is king now, and the hyenas work for him.
There’s no food and no water for the lions. Life is terrible. Simba, you must go
back and help. You are the true king!”
Simba: (трясёт головой)“ I’m not the king! And I can’t go back!”…
Nala: S I M B A …
Simba: “Nala doesn’t understand. I can never go back. I can’t change the past.”
Nala: (негодуя перебирает лапами) S I M B A !!! You remember!!! You told me
about the secret place many years ago. « We’re going to the water,” we told our
mothers. That was not true – we went all the way to the secret place…
Simba: (приобняв её) “ Wow! Look at all the elephant bones!” said Nala. We, the
two young lions were excited and afraid. Then we heard a terrible
noise…Suddenly, three hyenas stood in front of us!
Nala: (освобождаясь от дружеских объятий) But Mufasa was there! Your
father! And the hyenas turned and ran from the Lion King! … Simba, you must go
back and help. You are the true king…
Simba: ( нервно усаживаясь) One day, Scar took Simba into a deep valley. “
Wait here,” -he said. “ You’re going to get a surprise!” Scar left and Simba waited
for the surprise. He was excited.
Simba waited and waited. Suddenly, he heard a sound – feet, hundreds and
hundreds of feet. This was the surprise! Simba looked around. There were
hundreds of wildebeests running through the valley! It was a stampede!! Simba
nearly escaped. Mufasa saved his life…
Nala: For the second time!..
Simba: Yes, he did! But he couldn’t save himself! Simba saw his dead body…
Simba was sure that it was his fault. What could he do?! Scar said:”Run away and
never return!”
Nala: Simba, you must go back and help!
Simba: NO!!!
Timon+Pumbaa: S I M B A…
Simba : Father?!
Timon+Pumbaa: You are my son and the one true king. Go back to the Pride
lands and help…
Simba: I understood that I can’t run away from the past. I had to go back and
help!
Timon+Pumbaa+ Nala – зрители (стр 21)
Раздается рык Шрама:
Scar: You were sure that it was you who had killed Mufasa! But I did it! I Killed
Mufasa!
Simba: Say it louder!!
Scar ( мерзко хохочет) : I killed Mufasa!!!
Simba: Now run away and never return!
(
Шрам убегает)
Заключительная сцена
Nala: It was the start of a new life.
Pumbaa: Simba was the Lion King now.
Timon: Simba was kind and strong.
Simba: I’ll remember my father’s words. There is a circle of life, and now I’m a
part of that circle.
