Тема: «Who is a successful person?»
Цель: совершенствовать и углублять знания учащихся по теме и моделировать
речевое общение с использованием лексики темы, развивать навыки и умения в
диалогической и монологической речи, в чтении с применением различных стратегий
чтения, в аудировании и письме.
Задачи: Способствовать развитию логического мышления, внимания, памяти,
языковых и речевых умений , развивать навыки работать в паре, группе,
познавательной деятельности учащихся, мотивация учащихся к иноязычному
общению. формировать стремление быть успешным в жизни.
Ход урока:
1.Organization moment .Warm-up ( 4 min)
Good morning, pupils! Sit down, please. How are you? Who is absent today?
Today we are going to continue to talk about success in our life and successful people аnd
we’ll try to find the formula of success. And at first I would like you to read English
proverbs and match the Russian meaning .
2. Speaking ( 10 min)
Famous people… What does it mean?
The “Oxford Student’s Dictionary of Current English” gives the meaning of the word
“famous” as known widely; having fame.

He was born on April 23, 1564, in the town of Stratford-upon-Avon. He went to the local
free grammar school where he studied Latin. At the age of 18 he married a local girl, Anne
Hathaway. Ann was eight years older than her husband and the marriage wasn't a happy one.
When he was twenty-one, he went to London. He began to work in London holding the
horses of those people who came to see the plays at the theatre. Later he became an actor and
then he began to write plays himself. He wrote history plays such as "Henry IV" , comedies
such as " A Comedy of Errors". His early tragedy is "Romeo and Juliet". Between 1600 and
1608 he wrote his great tragedies, "Hamlet" "Macbeth" and "King Lear". "Hamlet" is the
most popular, the best-known of all his plays. He wrote 38 plays and many poems. His plays
were staged in many theatres, translated into many foreign languages. That made him a very
popular man. He wrote also a lot of poetry including his sonnets. He died on April 23, 1616.
