BORN TO SURVIVE?
(10 класс)
Цель урока: Построение устного монологического высказывания «Как люди
зависели от животных в прошлом и как зависят сейчас».
Задачи урока:
1. Практиковать употребление лексики по теме «Animals»
2. Воспитывать бережное отношение к животным.
3. Развивать устную монологическую, диалогическую речь, умение
анализировать и делать выводы.
Ход урока
1. Good morning my dear boys and girls. I’m
glad to see you. Sit down please. Get ready for
the lesson. Today we are going to discuss the
way people depend on animals. Open your
copybooks and write down the date and the
topic of our lesson. And at the end of the lesson
please be ready to express your ideas on this
topic. And your home work will be to prepare in
groups Encyclopedia about four domestic
animals. Don’t forget to write down the task in
your dictionaries.
2. First of all let’s think what uses people put to
animals. Look at these pictures I hope they‘ll
help you to answer . … And now let’s check
your guesses. Discuss in pairs why do people
use animals in this way.
3. Now let’s read the texts and try to
prove your ideas.
But before reading let’s remember and
practice the use of words evidence and
domestic and their derivatives. And fill in
the gaps with the appropriate word.
4. Now read the texts in groups and
explain what way people depend on
animals according to the text.
5. So let’s summarize what people depend
on animals for, as stated in the text (ex:
People depend on animals for power.)
In pairs discuss how the relationships
between animals and people have changed
in the course of time. (ex: I think people
depend less on animals for power,
because today we use electricity, petrol,
gas and other sources of energy.)
6. Look at the pictures and say which of
the following can be called commercial
exploitation of animals. Give your
reasons.
7. And now let’s summarize all the
material of our lesson and try to make a
conclusion how people use animals. Let’s
do it in the form of Encyclopedia entry.
Answer the following questions about
animals you see in the pictures. Use given
information. Work in groups please.
8. I think guys now you clearly see the
relationships between people and animals
And you will do the best to save animals
and won’t drive them to the edge of
extinction.
