Sharks have existed for millions of years.  

Sharks have the senses: smell, taste, touch, eyesight, and hearing.

It is amazing ! Their inner ears are so good, that they can hear a moving fish up to 2 km away!

Most sharks live for about 25 years, but some of them can live about one 100 years.

There are about 500 different types of sharks in the world. Many of them are named after the way they look or where they live.

For example, the hammerhead shark has a head shaped like a hammer.

The whale shark is as big as a whale.

You can see small sharks . They are approximately 15 centimeters long.

But there are large sharks. They can be up to 20 meters long.

Sharks are not so kind. Sharks kill about ten people a year.

But now the sharks are in danger.

People kill them for food or for medicine.

People kill them too much.

They kill about 100,000,000 sharks every year.

They kill about 190 sharks every minute.
