Урок английского языка в 9 «А» классе по английскому языку по теме
«A healthy lifestyle»

Цель: систематизировать знания, умения и навыки по теме «Здоровый образ жизни».
образовательные: совершенствование лексических навыков говорения, развитие речевых
и коммуникативных навыков на основе создания ситуаций общения;
развивающие: развитие кругозора, языковой догадки, мыслительных способностей
воспитательные: формирование у учащихся понимания значимости здоровья человека
через средства английского языка.
Формы работы: индивидуальная, фронтальная, групповая.
Методы работы:
по источнику знаний: словесные, методы слухового и зрительного восприятия,
по степени взаимодействия учителя и учащихся: беседа, дискуссия, работа в группах;
по характеру познавательной деятельности: частично-поисковые;
по принципу расчленения или единения знаний: обобщающие методы.
Техническое обеспечение: аудиокассета, мультимедийная презентация.
Учебно-методическое обеспечение: раздаточный материал, тематические картинки.
Ход урока.
I. Организационный момент (1 мин.).
Ознакомление учащихся с целями и задачами урока.
Hеllo, my dear friends and our guests too. I am glad to see you. Our topic is “A healthy
lifestyle”. It is very important and serious. We will speak about rules of a healthy lifestyle and
about problems too. I want you to be active at the lesson today. So, let’s begin our lesson with
the phonetic exercises.
II. Фонетическая зарядка. Read the proverb and the poem after me. (3 мин)
1. Early to bed and early to rise,
makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
Now translate the poem. Find the Russian equivalent, please.

IV. Совершенствование лексических навыков устной речи (диалогическая и
монологическая речь).
Учитель: A healthy lifestyle. Now we will speak about food. So, what do we eat? It depends on
a lot of factors. It is a question of taste. Culture, national traditions and religion play a very
important role. It is of course the question of personal health.
a) Now take one of the pictures with food and say what you eat it for. I choose . is
(are) good (useful, important) for (my) … (2 мин). I choose a carrot. It is useful for my eyes.
b) Аудирование. Listen to the speaker and find out how many servings of these things you
should eat. Fill in the table. (4 мин.)

Emily and her friends want to know more about a healthy lifestyle. They asked Mr Small and Mr
Foam some questions. Read the questions and try to answer them.
1. "Are juices really so good for me?"
2. "Do any of the weight-loss pills that are advertised actually work?"
3. "I hate physical activity, but I still want to lose a bit of weight. What
should I do?"
4. "What activities burn calories?"
5. "How can I lose a lot of weight really fast?"
6. "Do I have to take multivitamins every day?"
7. What do you mean by a "serving?"
d). Работа в парах (3 мин).
Work in pairs. Say if the following statements are true, false or there is no information
in the article (ex.8 p.95-96).
1. If you burn more calories, you lose more weight.
2. Everybody must take multivitamins every day.
3. Diets that are too strict can make you fatter.
4. Only swimming and jogging can help you burn calories.
5. You can eat as many fruit and vegetables as you want.

Учитель: We are speaking about a healthy lifestyle. Some young people look at the modern
models. The girls would like to be as they. Today Jane has come to us and she asks us to help
her. Please listen to her. Give your advice, please.
Ученик: I have some problems. Sometimes I am unhappy with my eyes, others days I don’t like
my nose. I have gained a bit of weight. I think that everybody is looking at me. I am on a diet. I
think I will be happy if I am as thin as a supermodel. I am unhappy today. I don’t have friends.
Give me your advice, please.

P4. You are very thin. You can get a disease called anorexia. It’s very dangerous and a lot of

P7. Spend a lot of time in the open air.
P8. Keep to a healthy balanced diet. Don’t overeat.

f) Дискуссия о здоровом образе жизни. A discussion (7 мин).
Учитель: I would like to have a healthy lifestyle and to know more about it. You have read the
text about a healthy lifestyle on page 95-96. Let’s discuss this text, this problem.
Примерные ответы учащихся:
P1. Physical activity is very important for a healthy lifestyle, and it's difficult to be fit if you
don't do any. However, it's always better to do some exercise than none at all.
P2. You don't have to give up all your favourite food, but you'll have to eat less bread, sugar and
fat. Take a smaller plate and put less food on it. But don't skip meals. It won't do you any good.
Don't eat less fruit and vegetables. They are always good for you.
P3. Concentrate on your food. Don't read or watch TV when you eat.
P4. Have healthy snacks. Forget about high-fat, high-calorie snacks: cookies, potato chips and
soda. Make your own sandwiches with meat and vegetables. Drink water or juice instead of
Coke and lemonade. Have an apple instead of a hot dog.
P5. Drink a lot of water. Your body needs a lot of water. Drink at least two litres of water every
day. Tea and coffee don't count!
P6. Don't eat after 7 p.m. Have your last meal at least two hours before you go to bed.
P7. There are hundreds of adverts for wonder pills and magic drinks which promise to make
you thin, but do they actually work? The answer is no. Most of them aren't safe either. If you
take them, you can sometimes be putting your health in danger. They can cause headaches, high
blood pressure and many other problems.
P8. There is no magic diet plan to help you become thin. Anybody who promises you that is
telling you a lie. You can go on a very strict diet of fewer than 600 calories a day for a week or
two and lose weight, but you won't be happy with the result. A diet like this will leave you
feeling weak and give you headaches, bad breath and bad skin. When you finish it, the weight
will come back quickly. You could even gain some excess weight. As a result you'll look and
feel miserable.
P9. It's not necessary to diet if you eat properly and make sure you have a lot of vegetables and
fruit every day
P10. Some juices contain a lot of sugar, which is bad for your teeth. When you buy juice read
the information on the box. There must be no added sugar in it. As an alternative just have an
apple or a carrot. They are better for you than any juice.
P11. Everything you do - smiling, talking, reading - burns calories. But if you want to be
fit, you'll have to do more. Do some exercise in the morning or in the afternoon every day:
ride a bicycle, go swimming or jogging, wash the floors in your home or walk the dog.
