Класс: 10
Цель: формирование коммуникативной компетенции и универсальных
учебных умений (поисковое чтение, анализ, синтез)
Задачи: 1) активизировать лексические и фонетически навыки;
2) развивать умение чтения с пониманием основного содержания;
3) развивать навык монологической речи;
4) расширять кругозор учащихся;
5) развивать умение работать в паре;
6) воспитывать уважительное отношение к мировой истории
Ход урока
1. Организационный момент
- Good morning, boys and girls. Glad to see you. Sit down please. I see (not)
all are present today but/and let’s begin our lesson.
2. Фонетическая зарядка
It’s time to train our tongues. Have a look at the white-board. You see some
sounds here and some words. Your task is to name the words with the certain
sound.

3. Выведение темы урока и цели урока.
- What is the name of our unit? – Civilisation and progress.
So, what is a civilisation? Put the words into the correct order and make a
definition of the word “civilisation” (is that Civilisation and its
developed a institutions. has own society culture – Civilisation is a
developed society that has its own culture and institutions.)
- Look at the screen and say what you see there. (Mayan pyramid, Mayan
calendar, stone column Maya, the ancient Mayan city)
- So, what are we going to talk about today? – We are going to talk about
Mayan civilization.
4. Активизация навыков устной речи по теме «Цивилизация Майя»
I’d like you to do the quiz. It is interesting to find out what you know about Maya.
Complete the sentences. You should choose only one variant.
(упр. 36 стр. 97 – закончить высказывание, выбрав один ответ из
предложенных. На выполнение отводится 2-3 минуты, затем предложения
зачитываются)
5. Развитие навыков чтения с пониманием основного содержания
Let’s continue o talk about the Mayan civilisation and read the text from exercise
37, page 97. Then we will check our answers to the quiz. (ученики читают текст
и проверяют правильность своих ответов на квиз)
6. Активизация лексических навыков
Now I want you to look through the text again and match the words from the
text with the definitions on the board.
(учащимся предлагается 3-4 минуты на соотнесение слов из текста с их
определениями)
Вопросно-ответная работу по тексту
Read the text again and take notes to answer the questions. (ex. 39 p. 98)
(учащиеся перечитывают текст, выписывают ответы на вопросы и отвечают
устно)
7. Закрепление навыков устной речи по теме «Цивилизация Майя»
Now you are going to work in pairs. Answer the question from exercise 40 page 98
and discuss the possible answers.
- Have you finished yet?
- Who is ready to share the ideas and prove them using examples?
(на выполнение задания отводится 4 минуты. Ученики обсуждают
возможные варианты ответов)
8. Организованное завершение урока
1) Now we know your opinions. Next time we will try to discuss them in
groups. Your task will be to prepare to this discussion. Find ex. 41, page 99.
Read the task. So, at home you are to revise your ideas and get ready to ask
and answer the questions.
Please, answer my question. What other ancient civilisations do you know?
(Ancient China, Celts, Rome, Egypt. Another task is to find the information about
other ancient civilisations.
2) Today we tried to discuss the civilisation of Maya. Something was good but
something not so good but we tried and next time it will be better. Your
