Topic: "How to become famous?"
Grammar: The article in the predicative. Infinitive as an attribute.
Цель: совершенствование лексических навыков и навыков чтения по теме.
Задачи:
❖ повторение лексического материала по теме “Do you have an example to
follow?”;
❖ совершенствование навыков изучающего чтения
❖ развитие познавательного интереса и воспитание уважения к культуре другой
страны
Оборудование: раздаточный материал, портреты Г. Форда
Ход урока
I. Организационный момент. Речевая зарядка (5 минут)

Good morning! I’m very glad to see you.
- Sit down, please!
At our last lesson we spoke about many
famous English people. Do you remember
their names?
- Good, well. At this lesson we’ll read the text
about one of the famous Americans. What do
you think who this is? (на доске висит
портрет Генри Форда)
- Ok. You’ll know him later. And now look at
the blackboard. This is a quotation which
belongs to this of the great men. Open your
exercise books and put down the date and this
quotation.
- Well. And now read, please, this quotation
and translate.
“To be together is the beginning,
To stay together is a progress,
To work together is a success”.
- Well done! Let’s repeat words and
expressions you should use in your work:

What are these professions? Please, take
shits of paper and fill in the letters and read
the words. (приложение 1)
- Well, Ann, please, collect the paper.
- And now put down 3 questions:
1. Who was Horatio Nelson?
2. Who was princess Diana?
3. Who was William Shakespeare?
Your task is to answer my questions as
quick as you can.

and read the text.
- You see this is really famous and popular
man. Now let’s choose the best title for this
story.
- Very well. And now give the English
equivalent for: изменили мир, обожал
машины, построил первый автомобиль,
сборочный конвейер, в день.
- Now you’ll get different cards with the
tasks for your text. You should complete
the story about Henry Ford, using the story
that you’ve read. (приложение 2)
