Verb to be

- Мария говорит: «Я счастлива»-Это прямая речь.
- Мария говорит , что она счастлива. –Это косвенная речь , то есть мы передали слова Марии.
- Теперь мы будем учиться переводить предложения из прямой речи в косвенную на английском языке.
- Когда мы передаём слова другого человека, мы используем глагол to say(говорить) и союз that (что), при этом личные (кто? I, you, he, she, we, they) и притяжательные (чей? My ,your, his, her)местоимения прямой речи заменяются по смыслу.
- Pete: I am happy. (прямая речь)
- Pete says that he is happy. (косвенная речь)
- John: I am happy. –John says that he is happy.
- Mary: I am glad to see you. –Mary says that she is glad to see us.
- Pete and Robert: we are ready for a lesson.-Pete and Robert says that they are ready for a lesson.
- Mandy: I will meet my friends again. -Mandy says that she will meet her friends again.
- Tom: I`m starting a new school. I worry that I won`t have friends there.
- Sarah: We had long summer holidays. I`m glad that we start learning new things.
- Susan: I`m looking forward to seeing our form teacher Mrs Langridge. I`m happy that she`ll teach us this year.
- David: I don`t like going back to school. It`s sad that the holidays are over.
- Для того , чтобы передать в косвенной речи, то что люди думают, чувствуют , используются глаголы
- To think, to hope, to worry, to be upset ,to be glad, to understand, to believe и др.
- Lucy: Ugh! We must wear that uniform again!
- Lucy is upset that they must wear uniform again.
- Susan: Oh! We`ll have a lot of tests. They are very difficult.
- Dan: I`ll take part in different activities. There are a lot of interesting at school.
- Linda: Most of school subjects are great ! We do a lot of interesting projects!
- Jane: We`ll have discos this year! I`ll play the school band again!
- Rob: I have no friends here. I`m a new pupil at this school.
- Jenny: This year is going to be hard . We`ll have a lot of tests.
- Chris: The holidays are over. And I have to get up early again.
- I`m glad to be back to school.
- It`s sad that the holidays are over.
