  • What is a tag question?
  • A tag question is a short question added
  • to the end of a positive or negative statement.
  • They work at the travel agency,
  • don’t they?
  • Boys don’t wear dresses,
  • do they?
  • How are they formed?
  • Normally a positive statement is followed
  • You and I are going to the party,
  • by a negative tag
  • aren't we?

  • and a negative statement is followed
  • by a positive tag

  • always separated by a comma.
