Цели урока:
- Повторить ЛЕ по теме “What makes a family?”;
- Развивать навыки аудирования;
- Развивать навыки монологической речи;
- развивать мышление, умственную деятельность;
- расширять кругозор учащихся;
- развивать интерес к языку;
- воспитывать культуру общения в процессе речевого и неречевого поведения;
- воспитывать уважительное отношение к культуре страны изучаемого языка;
- воспитывать толерантное поведение.
Оснащение урока: мультимедийный проектор, раздаточный материал, учебник.

T: Right now let’s revise the words you learnt last lesson.
Аnton, come up to the blackboard. Choose one of these papers. Show it to the class. Children, what is it? It
is the transcription of the word. Can you spell the word and Anton is going to write it down.

T: Well, children, on your tables there are some papers of different colors. If you think that you have done
you first task very good without mistakes show me the pink card. If you think that you could do your task
much better and you need to learn the word once again show me the yellow card.

T: We have already read the text about Christina Michel. Let’s try to refresh our memory. I am going to ask
you some questions:
1) Who is Christina Pappos?
2) How many people are there in the house of Christina? Give their names.
3) Does Christina like living in a multi-generation home?
4) Who is Adriana Pappos? What is she?
5) Is Christina’s husband happy to life with his in-laws? Who is George?
6) Why do people have to life in one big household?
I see that you remember the story. Right now we are going to listen to the members of Christina’s family.
But before doing this open your book on page 73 Ex 3(a). Read the task. Is it clear?

Ok. Who is talking on the tape? So, Christina was the first, then her mother Adrianna was talking. Later
Kypros, George and Helen Wilkinson. By the way, who is Helen Wilkinson?

2)Why have they never had to pay for babysitters?
3)Do they fell protected in their family?
4)What does Kypros think about his life with the in-laws?
5)What are their relationships in the family?

T: We have studied a lot about Christina’s family. Now let’s describe the main factors which help them to
stay a family.
Look at the screen please. Here you can see some characteristics of Christina’s family but they are not
complete. How can we proof that they all are friendly to each other (they chat about what’s happening).
Do they have their relatives round? What does it mean? It means they are close to each other.
What about the structure of the family? Right, it is stable. They help each other and sometimes they give
an advice, that’s why they feel protected.
We can come to conclusion that all these features make them a family!
