Урок английского языка в 6 классе.
Тема урока: «Экскурсия по Лондону»
Цель урока:
Обучающая цель: обобщить лингвострановедческий материал по теме "London",
отработать фонетические навыки.
Развивающая цель: совершенствовать навыки связной речи, развивать мышление, память,
стимулировать самостоятельность учащихся, формировать познавательный интерес
учащихся к предмету.
Воспитательная цель: прививать интерес к культуре, традициям,
достопримечательностям Лондона, стимулировать интерес учащихся к изучению
английского языка посредством ЭОР, формировать уважительное отношение к иной
культуре, традициям и обычаям другой культуры, воспитывать умение работать в
коллективе, в группе, паре.

Используемое оборудование:
Компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, экран, презентация достопримечательностей
Лондона, диск к учебнику “Enjoy English 5-6 класс”.
Ход урока.
I. Организационный момент.
Teacher: Hello boys and girls!
Pupils: Hello teacher!
Teacher: Let`s begin our lesson. Please, sit down.
How are you?
Pupils: Fine/ Very good. / OK!
2. Объявление целей урока.
Teacher: Have you ever been to London?
Pupils: No, I haven’t. / I’ve never been to London.
Teacher: Would you like to go to London?
Pupils: Yes, sure.
Teacher: Today we will go to London together. I`ll show you around the capital of
Great Britain.
3. Фонетическая зарядка.
T: But first we must do some phonetic exercise. Go on reading, please! (Слайд 1)

this famous city.

You are welcome to London. London is the capital of the United Kingdom, its
economic, political and cultural center. London stands on the river Thames. It is
two thousand years old. It is one of the world's most important ports and one of the
largest cities in the world. London has a population of about 11 million people.
8. Teacher: Now we are tourists in London. We shall speak to the Londoners.
Listen to the tape and read the dialogue. (Слушают запись на плёнке и читают
диалог самостоятельно, ст. 69 №27)
9. Проверка домашней работы.
Teacher: Your home task was to make up your own dialogues about different
sights of London.

Teacher: Thank you for your dialogues. Let`s have a rest!

11. Teacher: We continue our journey through London. Meet our guides.
Pupil 1: Westminster Abbey is s symbol of England. (Слайд 8) The legend says
that Westminster Abbey was founded by St. Peter himself. Westminster Abbey
was built by King Edward in 1065. The coronation of all British and Queens takes
place in Westminster Abbey some famous English people are also buried here.
Pupil 2: The famous clock Big Ben stands near the Houses of Parliament. Big
Ben is really a bell. It is a big bell. It is weighs about 13 tons. (Слайд 9)
Pupil 3: The country’s leaders speak in the Houses of Parliament. The men and
women there are the voice of the British people. The Houses of Parliament stand
beside the river Thames. You can go on a boat from Westminster and see Houses
of Parliament from Westminster Bridge. (Слайд 10)

Now we can see the Tower оf London from the river Thames. The Tower is very
old. It has a long and cruel history. It is not just one building. The tall building is
the white Tower the oldest part of the Tower of London. The Bloody Tower is near
the river. You do not see blood there today. But the Bloody Tower has a history of
blood the blood of men, women and even children. Now the king and the queen
of Britain do not live in the Tower.
Pupil 5: When the queen is in London, she stays in Buckingham palace. A lot of
tourists go to Buckingham palace, the place, where British kings and queens live
when they are in London. (Слайд 12)
Pupil 6: This is the Tower Bridge, built in 1894. It is one of the famous bridges
across the Thames. It is next to the tower of London. (Слайд 13)
Pupil 7: Madam Tussaud’s Life – Size Figures of Famous People. It’s the famous
waxworks museum which has one of the largest collections of wax models in the
word. Here you can meet the famous of course and the infamous: an unforgettable
experience. You can meet great characters of history and art. Here actors, film
stars, pop-singers, and sportsmen come face to face with famous politicians.
There is a special place for the queen’s family, her husband, their children and
other members of the Royal family. (Слайд 14)

Teacher: Our visit to London has finished. I hope very much that you have enjoyed
our tour of London. Did you enjoy our travelling? What places of interest in
London do you like best of all?
