по теме "Leisure activities"
( "Занятия в свободное время")
Предмет: английский язык, комбинированный урок.
Тема урока: "Leisure activities"( "Занятия в свободное время")
Продолжительность урока: 1 урок по 40 минут
Класс (группа) 7 класс
Технологии: компьютер для учителя,, мультимедийный проектор, экран,
презентация (PowerPoint) с аудио- и видеоматериалами, Интернет-ресурсы.
Цель урока: формирование и развитие коммуникативной компетенции
учащихся на основе смыслового чтения, изученных лексических единиц,
речевых и грамматических структур по теме «свободное время…».
Задачи урока:
Учебный аспект: введение нового лексического материала (to be good at, to
be interested in, to be fond of, to enjoy doing smth) и отработка его
употребления в речи; формирование лексических навыков говорения по теме
«Когда у тебя есть свободное время»; совершенствование навыков
смыслового чтения , аудирования , письма.
Развивающий аспект: формирование и развитие учебно-организационных
умений и навыков (взаимоконтроль, навыки самостоятельной работы,
групповой работы), расширение кругозора учащихся.
Воспитательный аспект: акцентирование внимания учащихся на способах
проведения досуга; создание ситуаций успеха и самореализации личности в
различных видах деятельности, развивать умение слушать других и
высказывать свое мнение.
Познавательный аспект: знакомство с популярными способами проведения
досуга сверстников из других стран.
Оснащение урока
Компьютер для учителя, мультимедийный проектор, экран, презентация
(PowerPoint) с аудио- и видеоматериалами, магнитная доска, карточки с
заданиями.
Формы работы: коллективная, групповая, парная, индивидуальная.
Тип урока: комбинированный.
Методы обучения: коммуникативный, наглядный, словесный,
исследовательский.
Ход урока.
I. Организационный момент, приветствие, создание атмосферы
иностранного языка.
Teacher : Good morning, my dear friends! I am glad to see you. How are you,P1?
1. Речевая зарядка, введение в тему урока.
Teacher: Last weekend I moved to a new flat and spent two days doing it. Next
Saturday I want to go skating, and on Sunday I am planning to watch a film. What
are your plans for the coming weekend? What are we discussing today?
Pupils: hobbies, free time, leisure activities.
2. Ознакомление учащихся с целью и задачами урока
Teacher: You are right, the theme of our lesson is "Leisure activities". At first we
shall revise some words, then work in groups and in pairs, watch a video, read
about hobbies in different countries, discuss some problems. Lets begin our work.
II. Повторение активного лексического материала по теме.
Teacher: Free time activities can be different. Look at the board. In your groups
think of some hobbies that can be active and indoor, outdoor but non-active.
(слайд 2).

Teacher: Great job! Listen, guys, sometimes you have a special event and want to
plan something interesting and exciting. What events can be special?
Pupils: a birthday, a wedding, a holiday, New Year, etc.
Teacher: Right you are! And someone is about to attend such an event. We've got a
message! Look at the board. You've received a message from Nick. Read the
message and say, what does he need help with? (слайд 3)

III. Развитие коммуникативных умений учащихся в форме
монологической и диалогической речи.
Teacher: In groups decide what can you recommend if the weather is bad? good?
(ученики обсуждают в группах (одна группа идеи для плохой погоды, другая
-для хорошей), высказывают свои идеи) (слайд 4)
Teacher: Whose ideas from the other group did you like the most? Why?
(высказывают свое мнение и аргументы)
Teacher: What do you usually do for your B-day? What do you think American
and British teenagers do for their parties?
(рассказывают о своем дне рождения, высказывают предположения)
IV. Развитие навыков аудирования.
Teacher: To learn about possible party activities we are going to watch a video.
While we watch it, I want you to do the tasks (Приложение 1). Look through
them. Are you ready? (VIDEO)
По окончании видеоролика, проверка заданий.
Teacher: Would you enjoy a party like that? If not, why?
V. Введение и актуализация лексических единиц по теме. Развитие
навыков монологической речи.
Teacher: Look at the board. Here are some other activities. Guess what they
mean.(СЛАЙД 5)
Would you like to try / do you enjoy any of them? If you could choose anything in
the world to do in your free time? What would you choose?
(высказывают свои идеи и аргументы)
VI. Развитие навыков чтения с полным пониманием прочитанного.
Teacher: Very interesting! And now I want you to learn a little bit more about one
interesting hobby - kite-flying. To do that, please read this little text. I'll give you a
minute to do so. (Приложение 2)
I see you are finished. Please in pairs discuss the questions after the text.
And what activities are popular in Russia? What do you do in your free time?
In groups make a list of your hobbies and say how many of you enjoy active, non-
active, outdoor, indoor activities? To do so look at the board (Слайд 6). When we
speak about hobbies we use the following expressions. Tell me about your group's
hobbies using them.

Teacher: Great! Now tell me, who do you think is the most active in your group? in
the other group?
VII. Смысловое чтение.
Teacher: Very interesting. I see you are quite busy in your spare time. Do you
think American and British children are as busy and active as you?
Let's see what your opinions are. On the papers there is a table at the bottom. Read
the statements and mark if you agree with them. (Приложение 3)

And now to see if you are right, we'll read about American and British hobbies. I'll
give you a couple of minutes to do that. (Приложение 4)
(читают текст, отмечают, если были неправы в предтекстовом задании)
Teacher: So, were you correct? Let's answer the questions again.
Let's check how well you've read the text. Answer the questions after the text.
(по одному читают и отвечают на вопросы)
VII. Подведение итогов урока. Рефлексия.
Teacher: You all did very well today. We've learned a lot of interesting facts about
hobbies and leisure activities. Let's see if you can spot a mistake. Read the
statements and say if they are correct. If not, correct them. (слайд 7)
(обсуждают в группах, исправляют неверные утверждения)
Teacher: Great job! Let's summarize. What new facts about hobbies have you
learned? Would you like to try anything new? What phrases do we use to speak
about things we like doing?
Teacher: And who do you think worked best of all today? And who should get a
"five" for the lesson? And who should be more active?
(ответы учащихся, аргументы, советы)
Teacher: Thank you all for the lesson, you home task is on the board. See you
tomorrow!

KITE-FLYING
Kite-flying is an old hobby in England. Many years ago people in London liked
kite-flying. In our days young men and old men, women and children take their
kites to the parks and threw them up into the sky. The kites are of many colors.
Some of them are square and others have three corners. Some kites are like
boxes, some look like balls or flowers. Many people, and children too, make their
kites themselves. They make kites of paper, and fix bright ribbons to them. Some
people buy their kites in the shops.
In some countries kite-flying is a sport. People have competitions in kite-flying.

expensive.
They prefer active activities.
Most of people in these countries have the same
hobby.
People in the USA and Great Britain prefer less
intellectual hobbies.
There are no places for outdoor activities in the
USA.

Hobbies in the UK and the USA
Hobbies are a great British and American tradition. A hobby is a special
interest or activity that you do in your time off.
A «hobby» is usually something that a person does alone. But American (and
British) families sometimes like to do things together too. Some American
families have quite a lot of money to spend on their recreation. They can all
enjoy their holiday home or their boat somewhere in the country away from it.
Americans love to get out of town into the wild and many go for holidays or
long weekends into the thirty-five fabulous national parks.
Some people have animals as hobbies. They keep rabbits or go fishing. They
train dogs to do tricks or keep pigeons to race and carry messages. Some are
crazy about plants.
Others are mad about their car or their motorbike. They spend their Saturdays
and Sundays washing them and painting them. But Americans do not only spend
their free time having fun.
Children and teenagers are great collectors. Millions take part-time courses in
writing, painting and music and at the weekends the museums, art galleries and
concert halls are full. Everyone in these countries is very interested in culture.
