- to check knowledge with the help of grammar card

I. Warming:
1) -Good morning, dear children!

II. Speech drilling:
First of all, let’s begin our lesson with the text “Everest”. You may open your
Student’s books and answer my questions.
1. What is the highest mountain in the world?
2. Have you ever been to the mountains?
3. What kind of leisure activities can people do in mountain areas?
4. What is the height of Everest above sea level?
5. What shape is the top of the mountain?
6. Which continental plates collided to cause the Himalayan Mountains?
7. What are the slopes of Everest covered with?
8. Why is the monsoon the worst time of year for climbing in the Himalayas?
9. What are the biggest dangers of climbing Everest?
I see that you know this text very well.
III. Grammar.
And now we are going to talk about future forms. So tell me, please:
- How many future forms do you know? Name them.

Present Continuous,

Now look at the blackboard. Here we can see three sentences. Let’s translate them
into English. So the first one is:
1) Я пойду в театр завтра. I am going to the theatre tomorrow.
Tell me, please, which tense have you used?
When do we use Present Continuous?
The second sentence will be translated by … (smb)
2) Я собираюсь пойти в театр сегодня вечером. I am going to go to
the theatre tonight.
Tell me, please, which tense have you used?
When do we use To be going to?
And the last sentence.
3) Театр открывается в 7 часов. The theatre opens at 7 o’clock.
Which tense have you used? When do we use Present Simple?
IV. Practice.
Let’s check your homework. I want you to open your workbooks at page 75 ex.

Let’s make the conclusion and revise one more time everything about Future
Forms.

V. Test.
So I think that you are ready to write the test. But it will be in two days. And
now we are going to do a small test which can help you to get ready for the last
test. You have only ten minutes. In this test you have to translate into English.
1. я играю футбол завтра после обеда.
2. я играю футбол сегодня вечером.
3. футбольный матч начинается в 7 часов.
4. книжная выставка открывается в 2 часа.
5. я прочитаю книгу сегодня в 6 часов вечера.
6. я прочитаю книгу на следующей неделе.
7. магазин закрывается в 9 вечера.
8. я собираюсь пойти в магазин через 10 минут.
9. я пойду в магазин сегодня в 5.30.

VI. Setting homework.
At home I want you to make a new grammar card where you have to open the
brackets and put the verbs in future forms, then you are to do all exercises on page
77 and finally you have to write down 9 your own sentences, but don’t forget that
these sentences should be written in future forms. Everything must be done by next
lesson.
