Aim: by the end of the lesson my pupils will be able to present an imaginary gadget describing its design and functions.
Goals:

Vocabulary: modern gadgets, descriptive adjectives, set phrases for expressing opinion, reasons
Grammar: Present Simple Tense, Present Continuous Tense, modal verbs may/might/could

Equipment: 4 computers (1 for each group), projector
Before the lesson: make enough copies of pupils’ sheets for each group

Today we are going to present an imaginary gadget.
Imagine that you work in a huge corporation. You have
to make a new gadget which every teenager would
adore having. Think about design, functions and make a
presentation in Power Point. The winner will earn 1 mln
dollars for this work.

You have to make a computer image of your gadget
with some functional details and oral presentation.
Work in groups of 4.
Preparation:
1) Choose a gadget and use the questions in task 1
to make notes about your gadget.
Discuss:
1) What problems does it solve? What does it do?
2) What are the advantages of a gadget?
3) How much is it? How can you get it?
Production:
1) Write an advertisement and check your content,
grammar, spelling and punctuation on mistakes
2) Practise to make an oral presentation.
3) Design a computer presentation.
